Taumi in Mannheim is a delightful spot for anyone craving flavorful Asian cuisine, and my recent visit certainly earned it a solid 4 out of 5 stars.

I ordered the Chicken Udon, and it was absolutely delicious. The broth was rich and savory, and the chicken was tender and perfectly cooked. The udon noodles had just the right amount of chewiness, making each bite incredibly satisfying. The flavors were well-balanced, leaving me thoroughly impressed with the dish.

We randomly went to Taumi after seeing an ad on instagram without any expectations And boy were we happily surprised. We went at an odd hour (14:30) so the place was understandably empty. To start, the service was super friendly, we ordered the mixed appetiser for 2, which was delicious and quite filling to be honest. I have to add, as a family with a picky 6 year old who never finds anything to eat at asian restaurants, we were happy to find 2 items on the menu for kids, which my daughter approved off and loved. We then ordered sushi, and japanese udon with Shrimps , we lovvedddd the Udon, and the sushi was also good. All in all, the whole experience was positive, and we will sure be coming back to try more items...

The food is great! I come back every time because of it! There are many great options in great sizes that can make everyone satisfied! Unfortunately the staff is not very well prepared and very often are not paying attention and taking too much to bring the menu, the dishes…. Although in summer days the outside tables seems to be very attractive, i strongly advice to seat inside that has a very nice environment with great climatization! It is a bit expensive and this should be considered… the bill can easily get to 50 per person if you order appetizers, drink and desert, but hardly it will be less...
