Food tasted really good but the waitress was totally unfriendly. She talked to me rudely because I had to pay 13€80 and that they accept bankcard with 15€ as a minimum amount. So I asked kindly if I could go to some cash withdrawal and come back while letting her all my stuff and my passport as she would be sure that I would get back to pay. She refused and said rudely that if I only have my bank card to pay I should pay 15€. This isn't nice and note even sure this is legal at all. I refused and said "Oh you don't want to give a tip?". Which I'd never do considering the way she had been talking to me. She said she had then to ask her boss but that she couldn't let me go. She finally came back to tell me that since her boss was away she had no other choice than accepting that I use my bank card (I was still up to get some cash but anyway). The kept being rude for the end of the whole transaction while saying the contrary. She even annoyed me because there was no signature at back of my bank card so she couldn't compare the signature I had put on the bank card ticket and my real signature. Read moreCafé Glockenspiel is more than just a coffee shop; it's an experience. As I stepped in, the warm, inviting ambiance was immediately noticeable. The interior, a blend of classic elegance and modern comfort, set the stage for a delightful visit.
I opted for a window seat, which provided a stunning view of the Rathaus-Glockenspiel. The synchrony of the clock tower's performance with my morning coffee was mesmerizing. Speaking of coffee, it was expertly brewed, with a rich aroma and a perfect balance of flavors. I paired it with a slice of their renowned Sachertorte, which was a decadent delight.
The staff was friendly and attentive, ensuring a pleasant experience throughout my stay. They were knowledgeable about the menu and offered great recommendations.

Read moreFirstly We waited for ten minutes till our table was cleaned so we could order( partly acceptable because it was Saturday afternoon). Secondly We were not allowed to sit in the hall with the view of Rathaus because we wanted to order coffee and cake and not dinner ( totally unacceptable because i have never seen anywhere in any country that because we want to order coffee not food we cannot have a nice view unless they have cafe area and supper area separately . The worst of was the behavior of the waiter who was very offensive. My girlfriend asked him politely if we can have the menu, he said „ i have to clean the table firstly then i will bring you the menu, THANKS for Reminding me“
What sort of behavior is it???!!! Even if he were stressed, he could have said, i will bring the menu in a few minutes.
We were very disappointed and do not recommend this cafe to anyone.
They do not know the basics of...
