Ruff’s Burger — Restaurant in Munich

Probably the most unwelcomed I've felt at any establishment in a while. Couple of the guys working there were basically rolling their eyes just because how dare a tourist happy to inject money into their premise dare speak only English when the place is metres away from tourist attractions. I was very patient and had no problem kindly repeating myself since I know for them fair enough I have a funny accent too. The body language and vibe from a couple of the workers was pretty unacceptable though. Even if say they were welcoming, the food was veryy dissapointing and I can even say afterwards I regret not eating at five guys instead, which should be a joke. Ive visited lots of burger places in my home country and for the value of 15 euros for loaded fries, drink and burger, this was pretty poor. Bun is too overpowering. Burger sauce lacks a punch and tastes too mustardy. Fries are a thicker cut and harder texture, not a fan. It's a very basic burger place. Doesn't strike you as one competing for quality and approval among burger enthusiasts. 1 star, because they got the order correct. Looks the attitude was just for show.... Not because they'd fail to...

Once we've searched for good burgers in the center of Munich. This place was one of the best according to the ratings, but it seems to be more about atmosphere and way how they serve visitors. We have tried two different burgers - Ruff and Caesar plus Trüffel and Mexican Fries. Fries was good - tasty enough, but sauces seems not to fit them well because they were too fatty so with oiled potatoes it was more than enough. Burgers are also quite strange, the bun is great - crispy and tasty, sauces also quite well, but this huge cutlet changed everything - it's taste just overlap all the favor of other ingredients so you don't taste vegetables or sauce or bun - just meat and that's it. So if you're interested in really good piece of tasty cut meat - come here and you wouldn't be disappointed, if you're searching for burger as complete dish - better to search it...

The hype is definitely met with this burger place! Walked by it with my brother while looking for a place for dinner, and we decided to look up the reviews. The average rating of 4.4/5 definitely pushed us to go in + the fact that there was a smash burger on the menu (a rare occurrence in other German burger places).

I ordered the smash burger with fries and loved it! It was juicy, well-done, with a perfect ratio of bun to beef, and reminded me of shake shack (while somehow being even better!).

Definitely worth a visit!
