I go to München maybe 6 times a year. Yesterday and the day before we were showing a Canadian friend around the city on bike and my nose caught the scent of really good food. A lot of noise and construction is going on now so I really had to look and to my surprise I saw what I had been searching for, for the last 4 years since I arrived here in Southern Germany from Toronto/Vancouver Canada. A really good Mexican Taco Burrito eatery !!! THIS IS IT !!! I smelt it and it looked it . They make the food right behind the counter in front of you, you can’t get more fresh than that ! Corn 🌽 tortillas!! Mole sauce ! Pulled chicken and pork ! I didn’t try vegetarian dishes because that’s not the authentic dish. But I will next time. I was beyond excited. My family is from Central America so taco stands and tamales are well known to me. They are served smaller originally but obviously when in the Western World they need to be bigger ☺️😉😋 . I also managed a Mexican Eatery in Canada 🇨🇦 so if you have a chance and wish to experience a taste of Mexico 🇲🇽 here in Munich Germany 🇩🇪 please I urge you to go here ! I went two days in a Row ! I actually met my German Boyfriend eating in a Mexican restaurant so we are both so happy to have found this place ! The staff are super friendly and proud of what they offer! The South American , Mexican and Spainish hospitality is present here ! You walk in and it’s the vibe you get as if you were in any of these places . Try all the sauces . The guacamole 🥑 is perfect! Authentic and real ! I can’t say more . Wish I took better pictures !

The taste was not particularly great. It was rather sub-standard for a restaurant claiming to serve „real Mexican food“, althoug still good compared to all the other „Mexican“ restaurant in Munich, or in Germany for that matter. Biggest deduction stems from the tortillas though, which were not properly heated, and soggy within a few minutes. Had to eat all of it with my fingers, the tortillas completely desintegrated. It‘s not La Taqueria‘s fault that it is not allowed to eat the tacos right away due to Covid restrictions, but I am pretty positive that by heating up the tortillas and/or using two tortillas (like they do in Mexico sometimes), the tacos would have at least survived the 5 minute wait. Super dry and tasteless rice on the pollo con mole taco is another big „no go“. All in all rather a 2,5 stars. Had tacos cochinita pibil / carnitas / pollo con mole + 1 quesadillas. 10,50€. But: they have a nice section of Mexican groceries.

It has been like 2 years since I visited last.. Went back as I felt like having some Mexican. One of my favorites in Munich.. The Deco and the quick service is something I like about them and it has not changed a bit.. Being vegetarian my options are limited though, and yesterday although they have introduced some new dishes in the menu they weren't available to order.. Nevertheless the food tasted quite good! Staff are friendly, speak English and German, the place is neat. I wouldn't mind a little bit more spiciness but then that is personal flavor. Prices have gone up a bit over the years with inflation. It is a wonderful place for a quick bite.. I would definitely recommend. One star less because of lack of items in menu to place an order.

EDIT: I would absolutely love to come back in and be proven wrong!!! Truthfully I didn't order the the more authentic food because I didn't see it on the side menu until after I ordered. If that is your pride and joy why is it on a small menu off to the side as opposed to up on the big board with the burritos and tacos? I certainly would have ordered some pollo con mole or Tinga if I had seen it sooner. But regardless of if someone orders the Tex-Mex food off your menu or the authentic food it should be something you are proud to serve and tastes amazing. But that is just my thought.

To clarify I never said I was an expert. But I dated a man (who was Mexican) for 5 years and spent a lot of time with him mom in the kitchen, so I know a reasonable amount. That aside, you didn't really address the quality of the ingredients, which will effect the taste of your food no matter how authentic a dish is. My fiance got tacos and had the same issues with his tortilla as I did mine. And why don't you use actual chicken meat instead of the processed cubed stuff? Guacamole is authentic Mexican food (although it is more commonly used in Tex-Mex dishes). I honestly think my experience would have been better if the ingredient quality had been higher. But maybe some of it is too expensive or hard to find in Munich to produce on a mass scale?

This place was incredibly disappointing. My fiancé and I were quite excited to find Mexican food in Munich and tried it at first opportunity. Perhaps my hopes were too high because where I am from in the US we have really good authentic Mexican food, but the food here left a lot to be desired. For starters it had hardly any flavor. If you have ever had real Mexican food you know it packs flavor in every bite. I ordered a burrito, and chips and guacamole. The guacamole was some of the worst I have had. It barely even tasted of avocados. The chips were thick and on the stale side. The equivalent of getting gas station nacho chips in the US. The burrito...oh where to start. The chicken was cubes processed meat, I wouldn't even call it real chicken. The tortilla didn't seem to either be flour nor corn, and crumbled and cracked in my hands. It was thin and barely contained the soupy mess that was the filling. Lots of rice and sour cream inside my burrito but again hardly any flavor. For somewhere that claims to serve real Mexican food I can't tell if they have never tasted good Mexican food before, if quality ingredients are just too hard to come by here, or if they pander to German palates. Incredibly disappointing all around. Service was good however and the decor was cute. But if you are familiar with authentic Mexican food you will be...

Nothing good to say about this place - last time we got cold food 40mins late, this time we were told to leave 30mins before closing with a half full restaurant.

Update/Reply to owner: as I never spoke to you I have no idea how you remember me or how I could have been 'rude'. Regarding food please reply to my primary complaint that cold food and late food is a acceptable practice for a fast food restauran; I don't think this is a big request for a restaurant.

Finally regarding your licence; As I never spoke to you I have no idea of your restaurants legal rights of opening - I would simply comment based on your reply that you can still be open until 22:00 - if you want to close at 21:30 to make sure you stay within the law then that's fine too but I would recommend you should change your opening times to reflect this. For reference we arrived at 9:15 (a full 45mins before stated clossing time) and the restaurant was emptied and shuttered/locked up by 9:30.

What follows I would regard as a disgraceful reply to...
