A very shocking experience that a tourist might find in a beautiful city like Munich!!
23.02.2023, 11:00 a.m in Munich
During my 12 cities tour in Germany, I went to the Rischart cafe zur Mauth that day to have my breakfast. There was a line, I waited like the others, I ordered my sandwich and my coffee from a polite young guy working inside and like most places I've been, you order first then you sit down, after sitting at a table inside and eating half of my sandwich a waiter came up to me and told me you can't sit inside because you have to order inside, but because I was almost done and she knew that I didn't know, she asked me to quickly finish my sandwich and then to go, a minute later a waiter (a man in his 40's working on the terrace outside) I think he was the supervisor of the other waiter, he came to me very nervous yelling loudly and asked me very rude in front of other customers to leave immediately without showing any kind of respect I actually would have left in 3 minutes if he would let me, I told him I didn't know and I'll leave now and if he wants to add extra charges for the chair I can pay but he didn't respond and very rudely shouting, I took the rest of my sandwich and I left, a gentleman who was sitting next to me apologized instead and told me that sometime people are rude here (of course we don't generalize because I was treated well during my trip), this is very unprofessional and impolite from a waiter, he treats tourist and customers badly, if he just started his conversation with "please" I would be very grateful to him, it might seen a small thing, but for me I had a very bad impression of the city, I request the manager of the coffee shop to act seriously on this event and to evaluate the attitude of the staff working...
Read moreAbsolutely awful experience!! NEVER GO THERE!! I have never been treated so bad as a customer in any place on this earth ever in my life! I bought 2 snacks and one bottle of water, all "to go". In the meantime i decided i want to serve them on their (more than half empty) terrace. I was told rudely immediately to leave. Because if i want to stay on the terrace i have to order from the server, not from the inside the bakery. I said ok, i will order from the server an additional soup, but then the server said i am not allowed to eat the snack on the terrace while i wait for the soup and she started yelling and telling me that one soup is not enough to order to stay on the terrace. I was shocked to see how they treat customers that, even after an discourteous treatment, want to stay, order more and consume more from them and they continue to treat the client even worst! I am really sorry for the owner of this place as their employee instead of treating customers with respect and serving them food when they ask for it, she is pushing them away in an extremely discourteous way!
I never left a bad review before, and i am really sorry i have to do this, but this was the WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER and i hope someone from the management will take this into account for the best of the business and future customers. To add to this, the snacks were not fresh, one of them i had to through away...

I rarely feel the need to pen down a review as negative as this one, but our experience at Rischart in the Munich center left us shocked and distressed. The promise of a pleasant dining experience turned into a nightmare due to the abysmal service we received.
We understood that anyone can make a mistake when we found an error in our order. What we did not anticipate was the server's outright refusal to rectify the problem. He took customer service to an unprecedented low with his attitude. Instead of making amends, he proceeded to raise his voice, blatantly demonstrating a lack of professionalism.
I am deeply disappointed with Rischart, not just for the mistake in our order, but for the subsequent unprofessional and rude response from the waiter. The quality of service is an integral part of any dining experience, and I am saddened to report that Rischart has failed miserably in this regard.
Instead of feeling welcomed, we were met with hostility, and instead of an apology, we were treated with rudeness. Such unprofessional behavior is unacceptable and leaves a dark stain on Rischart's reputation.
I hope that Rischart seriously addresses these issues in their customer service training. Until then, I would strongly caution anyone considering dining here. There are plenty of establishments in Munich where you will be treated with the courtesy and respect that paying...
