We had such a miserable experience here as Indians. My wife and I came here from a long trip because it was close to the station. We were both tired and did not want to experiment with our food. We both love traditional Italian stone oven pizza. With the great reviews this place had, it seemed like the best option in the vicinity. After entering, we found a senior, bald, Italian waiter, and he started to show us the way outside. The reason he gave was that many people were coming and going, and many had booked reservations, so we should go and find another restaurant. Since we had already made up our minds, we told him that we would wait outside, and I could see on his face that he was annoyed. In 2 minutes, three people left, and we tried to enter inside. My wife was putting her jacket in my backpack, and that bald waiter looked angry because we were taking some time to enter the restaurant. He was purposefully showing us rudeness. The table we were given was in the middle of the passageway, and the passing waiters always hit my wife's chair. We asked one waiter to move our tables, but then the bald waiter heard us and rushed over, shouting at us without providing a concrete solution. Then another senior waiter came and helped us out. He was the nicest guy there, and he treated us with respect, and just because of him, we stayed. The food was not up to the mark for paying 20 euros per portion. Every dish was priced 7-8 euros more, which is what it is actually served for in traditional Italian restaurants that I have been to a lot in my life. My wife's Arrabiata pasta had too strong a sour flavor in its tomato paste and an intense raw garlic taste. She could not finish it. My Bufala pizza was okay since there was no salt in the dough, which made the taste experience slightly worse. The ingredients were fresh, though. All the time we spent in the restaurant, I felt bad for myself. I never wanted to return back to India more than that time spent on the table. Of course, all the other people sitting were Germans or whites, and I have seen in many countries that the native people themselves are well-mannered and treated us Indians with dignity. It's just people like this waiter who come from different countries that bring this mentality of division and racism. I will never visit this restaurant again. We took no pics because our...
Read moreWe visited the place for lunch. The location is very close to Marienplatz about 3 min walk and hence in a very accessible.
The place tends to be pretty crowded and do expect a waiting period of 10-15 mins.
We are vegetarians, and hence this is a review from perspective of a Vegetarian. There is a limited vegetarian option but sufficient enough to have a decent meal. We ordered a starter, pizza, red sauce pasta and a white sauce pasta. The taste was good and portions were sufficient for decent meal. They did not have anything with pesto on the menu when we visited.
They have sitting options inside and outside, indoor seating had a strong seafood smell which as a vegetarian made me uncomfortable, so we chose outdoor seating. They have small shades outside, but Temperature was pretty high and sun exposure got uncomfortable, so a easy and elaborate meal at peace was not possible, we quickly finished the meal and had to move due to heat.
Overall it was a mixed experience, I would visit again for food but the seating arrangement would make me think twice in summer...
Read moreThe good news is, that pizza capricciosa (see picture) was really really good. Jalopeno was not too hot, salami was high quality. Like all the ingredients. 5 Star for the pizza! Good job!
Bruschetta was not what is should be. Dry or extra dry bread, with some minimum amount of tomatoes and rucola! Everybody hates rucola, or should hate. Well, it was not Classic Bruschetta.
Pasta Carbonara was not so good. I can do better myself and I’m not Italian. The taste was not right, it was a let down. It has lot of cream, but it tasted plain and didin’t have that Classic good taste.
Service was chaotic, waiters was running around like chickens without heads. And the waiters short term memory was as good as those headless chickens. Poor. They forgot to bring wine and the bill. This means long waiting time. What A pity, because all those guys were really friendly but they were not...
