Burgerheart Regensburg — Restaurant in Regensburg

Being an American I have a special taste when it comes to burgers, but this place exceeds expectations in almost every aspect. The burgers were more than fairly priced and by far the best burger I’ve had in the 3 years I’ve lived in Germany the atmosphere is modern enough but stays true to the rustic atmosphere outside. In my opinion you can always tell how a restaurant is by how their bathrooms looks and this is no exception. Updated fixtures and receptacles, and it smells clean. I had an alcoholic mixed drink which was slightly pricey but completely understandable seeing as it was absolutely delicious. The best part of the entire experience was the fact; we showed up, told the waiter to come back, ordered, got our food, ate our food, ordered another burger, got our food and ate it within 45 minutes. Cannot recommend Burgerheart regensburg enough absolutely stellar in every way. All I could offer you would be a picture of our plates, we finished before I could think to take a picture. Went to Burgerheart Regensburg for lunch on weekdays awhile ago. We didn't have a reservation but could get a table easily. The ambience of the restaurant is nice and the staffs we encountered were all friendly.

There was a lunch menu that comes with burger, side and drinks. We tried the New York Chili Cheese burger and the Crispy Fried Chicken burger. The former was delicious, but unfortunately I can't say the same with the latter simply because the size of the fried chicken. It is thick, but to small compared to the bun, so once the chicken is finished, I left with half bun with only vegetables.

The other drawback is that we need to scan the QR menu and download it on our phone, which totally normal these days but I personally find it unpleasant. But overall I'm satisfied...

Update: April 2025 Downgraded to 1 star! I waited more than half an hour to get a crispy fried burger! When I asked about the reason, the waiter answered that he already told me the order would take between 15 and 20 minutes! (Tried to pretend!) I know it is not his fault, but I waited so long and wasn't also happy with my meal! I also saw a scene, which I didn't like! It is a pet friendly restaurant; so, they provide visiting dogs with water (so far so good.) But, at the end, I saw the waitress draining the water bowl in the sink of the drinks bar! Not the best move in terms of hygiene!
