Would you like to pay almost 50euros to get scammed and then insulted for noticing it? Come to Geofrey's
3 menus : almost 50euros.. The staff was scandalous, racist, aggresive, screaming, mocking and insulting clients for an error (turns out it was not an error but an attempt at stealing money from us, successfully) THEY, the men from the staff, commited when we realized they tried to scamm us.
The food ok, only the lady at the counter was professional and polite. But the three men working there made us pay more than 12 euros more than the price we should have paid. When we showed them the receipt and proof, they just started to get extremely upset, ganging up to insult and make fun of us between them in turkish (thinking we couldn't understand, too bad for them : we did understand) AND our faces in english, even using slurs in Turkish to insult us based on our ethnicity. The whole time the three men were screaming at my mother, being aggressive, and extremely dishonest. All that because they got caught red handed and didn't like it.
Not to forget: they are also very openly racist. These men, talking and insulting us -mostly in Turkish, mind you- were "screaming at you because they don't like that you don't speak german" (when we actually do speak basic german, french AND english -which they also do speak, these 3 languages- they just didn't enjoy failing their trick and having to face their deed in front of other customers) as they unapologetically explained after the ordeal. They said it, unapologetically, unashamed.
Who gets screamed at for asking clarifications about the price they paid ? thinking the staff made an honest to god, innocent error, and then realising you paid not only a few euros more due to the error, but that it was neither an error (just a dishonest guy taking a tip for himself, abusing our trust, before we counted what was due) nor just 1 vicious extorsion but 2 as they scammed 10 euros more (not counting the original few) voluntarily making us pay for everything separately after we asked specifically for menus (which they absolutely can't deny, as the guy asked us if we wanted to have drinks to get menus when he saw we already had drinks for another place, to which we said yes because the menus are cheaper)? They will also only show you the drinks in the fridge which doesn't contain most of the 0.5l drinks the big menu (more expensive) includes.
Just imagine, politely pointing out what you naively thought was just an error getting screamed at by 3 (beligerous, glaring, big, ugly, unpolite, unprofessional, unfriendly, bothered, stupidly mocking you in their language you actually understand, when they don't scream insults at you in English) angry "men" from the staff, whom yelled at the top of their lungs, coming at my tiny, frail mom like a gang of enraged dogs -WHEN THEY WERE ABSOLUTELY IN THE WRONG, AS SOME OF THEM OPENLY PROUDLY ADMITTED- to insult and verbally attack her to tell you proudly that the only error you made is in the amount you thought stole you, and in mistaking vicious, illegal, dishonest, very premeditated, and even racist intentions "an innocent human error". Just imagine. Getting disrespected because they don't like the shame their wrong doings bring them when revealed. After they stole from you willingly.
Paying more than 40 euros, getting scammed, being told they discriminated us openly based on race (as we could actually speak enough German to order, as we did in every other shops/snacks), insulted, mocked, and literally yelled/screamed at for asking anwers nicely while being even more right than anticipated about getting your money STOLEN is NOT worth the food
AVOID. There are better tasting kebabs in this town, where you won't have to pay extra money to get verbally aggresed, disrespected, being called slurrs, laughed at while being polite, AND scammed and racially...
Read moreThe Döner/Kebab itself isn't anything to rave about. It's good, but you'll get more interesting ones for the same price elsewhere. The staff generally isn't particularly friendly or engaged either; the chances whether you'll actually get what you order are 50/50. What elevates this place to 4 stars is their 'sandwich' option (which has literally nothing to do with sandwiches btw) – it consists of them adding some fries in the Döner/Kebab, which might sound bland at first, but it actually compliments the taste of the salad and meat very well. Another positive remark to make is the nice and big interior of the...
Echt dreist für so was schlechten döner inkl Service!
BITTE TUT EUCH DEN GEFALLEN UND GEHT NICHT DAHIN.
