(Family of 4 with adult children.) Disaster! The reputation of the Greek hospitality and "apsogo" (efficient) service is seriously in question at this restaurant. I have visited various greek restaurants in the last 20-30 years: from cheap fast-food to specialized fish and "meze" tavernas. In the last 20 years, Europeans and other tourists from all over the world, learnt about the unique greek hospitality, the quality of food and prompt service. This fish restaurant in the hart of Athens has a high quality food at high prices, but the service is OUT OF ANY CATEGORY. If i tell any of my Greek friends that I had to wait for more than an hour to get the salad (the restaurant's special) they will lough at me and tell me that I had to instantly go to another restaurant. I made a reservation on site, 2 hours before arrival, and selected a fish for the lunch. Can you imagine? We got the fish 2,5 hours after the arrival!!! I cannot figure in which country can this be accepted. Our order was strictly from the menu, no combinations or opportunity to try. If you go to any greek restaurant and order ouzo/tsipouro, you get the drink along with the accompanying meze (salad, or other appetizer) in no time. Here we got our ouzo, and the salad arrived more than half an hour afterwards. I believe that the service at the Athina's most cheap restaurant is better than this. At the end, the ordered grilled octopus ( intended to go with the aperitif- tsipouro) was not delivered even after 3 hours with a kind excuse, after the serving of the fish which costed 100 Euros. An excuse drink/meal was offered instead. What a pity. I don't know what to say. If we were any greek family, I don't know what would happen. I have seen big troubles in restaurants for pretty minor occasions. All in all: quality food, priced, no service. Avoid. For the price, you can get much, much, much, better quality and service or dine at least twice. Don't believe at the internet ratings! Check it personally before going. Athens is becoming a tourist jungle, with no greek tradition or spirit. I am sorry to see this. I have long time been to many parts of this beautiful country, but I can see that in the last few years, Greece is far, far, from the promoted destination in the world's magazines and the...

I had a very disappointing experience here. The restaurant was oddly empty and the service was subpar, with waiters openly whispering to one another and giving us unwelcoming looks. They would step outside quite frequently to smoke with the kitchen staff right outside the entrance and in front of our window where we were seated.

The mussels were cold and undercooked. The cod was overly battered, resulting in an oily batter and dry cod texture. The so-called "garlic salad" was more like a spoonful of blended together mush, resembling hummus. I think this should be changed on their menu because it can be deceiving when you expect a salad but are then served what looks like a dollop of mush.

The bread, priced per person, was dry and bland, and we only received two small pieces each, one of which was tiny!

Upon receiving the bill at €44, I highlighted the issue with the mussels, explaining they were inedible due to being undercooked and cold. The waiter absurdly blamed the mussels themselves and not the cook and still attempted to charge us, reluctantly agreeing to only half the amount after my shocked reaction. The audacity to request payment for an unsatisfactory dish was disappointing. The only redeeming aspect was the 1-star-worthy grilled prawns, which were nothing special.

In conclusion, our last night here was horrendous. I couldn't wait to just pay the bill and leave. I strongly advise avoiding this restaurant, as you can find better options in Athens at more reasonable prices, served by staff who genuinely care. The entire team seemed disengaged, merely counting down the minutes until the end of their shift. Terrible...

Wow, I was so excited to come here and they are just phoning it in. Service was awful. Waiters incompetent, uninterested and not doing their jobs to check that dishes are what ordered and commucating with customers around expectations and basic service needs. We've never seen such weary souls doing so little. Prices are very high given that they contain so little seafood. Al mare was a few tiny muscles in large shells with no consistency and large shrimp with no way to crack them open and no plate for shells with a ton of pasta. Had to ask for bread for dip, asked for cheese for pasta that never came. Ordered eel with noodles. In Asian restaurants this comes with a large filet and comes with mild pasta as the eel flavor is subtle. Here this is a pile of awful flavor and look with a ton of soy, sun dried tomatoes and heavy sauce allegedly strips of eel under all the wrong flavors. Taramasolata filled with potatoes and no where near enough fish roe. Lobster 80 euros a kilo, absurd. Much less filers, smaller portions would have gone a long way. Total...

I wanted to try this restaurant that was suggested to me to eat fish. It has a bright indoor room and a small outdoor place with 6/8 tables. We were greeted by Dimitris a very polite 28 years old waiter with a good knowledge of English. The menu has a dozen varieties of dishes for each course, appetiser, main course and grilled. We ordered Marinated Anchovies, Mussels Boiled, Shrimps with kimtsi Sauce, Octopus Grilled, Shrimps Grilled with Truffle oil. The courses were served almost at the same time. The marinated anchovies were good. Octopus Grilled was a bit too dry and felt it wasn’t fresh. The Shrimps with kimtsi Sauce had salted sauce and too much black pepper. Truffle oil was almost imperceptible to the taste on the Shrimps Grilled with Truffle oil. The Mussels Boiled was bland flavour and seasoning. Asked the waiter if the food was fresh or it was frozen and he replied that was frozen. I advise the chef to mention on the menu that the food served is frozen. Quality and price is not good balanced.

Our most expensive meal in Athens in this somewhat bizarre place...an Island In The City, they said. We love sampling local oysters from around the world, so an Oyster Bar/Restaurant, according to Google, seemed ideal to us. First, finding this place requires U trust Google Maps it was not intuitive, and when we did find it at the end of a dark Alley, nobody but the servers were there at 8PM. We showed them our phone and asked if this was it, which we all laughed and any table was ours. The place is beautiful, and within 15 minutes, 20+ people were seated, so we were in the right place. Oysters on the half shell 6 euros each & not from Greece but Spain. Super yummy, but six was enough for us to sample. Grilled Octopus 18Euro & Santorini salad 16E, so with a bottle of wine, we shot past the 100Euro mark easily for a very delicious dinner. We were first to arrive and almost last to leave 2+ hours later. We had a blast, and this was a great way to spend a night out in Athens.
