Agora Select was recommended by the hotel I stayed at in Athens, and my family and I thoroughly enjoyed our dinner experience here. The staff were very friendly from the beginning and were always happy to help. We were seated very quickly and given menus to look at, and the staff joyfully answered any questions we had about any items on the menu. For the appetizers, we ordered some typical items such as bread with tzatziki and a spicy feta dip, as well as a salad and mussels. The portion size of the mussels were honestly very good for 10 euro, and the olive oil and buratta cheese used in the salad were fresh and tasteful. For the mains, we ordered the lamb chops, sea bass, and salmon. And without asking, the staff offered to make any substitutions for the sides that were included with the mains. All the mains were delightful, and the portions were very much acceptable. At the end of our meal, we asked for the bill but were instead given a mastiha dessert alcohol as something to help with digestion/cleanse our palates. We didn’t order dessert, but the staff kindly served us lemon sorbet and a panna cotta dessert on the house, both of which were very flavourful. When we finished with the desserts and were presented with the bill and machine to pay, the option to tip wasn’t even present. We happily paid the bill and thanked the staff for their wonderful service, food, and hospitality. I can wholeheartedly vouch for Agora Select’s quality and service, and I would happily recommend them for anyone...
Read moreI've been to Agora Select many times and every time the food is really nice and not too pricey. It is not cheap but not too expensive. It is in the upper class of quality and price. The place is nice and often you see greek celebrities like actors, singers etc. The stuff is polite and the portions normal to big. the bathroom is nice and clean too. Easy access in the centre of Athens, close to the subway (metro blue line: between Evangelismos station and Megaro Mousikis station) and you can park usually in a range of 5 minutes walking.
4 stars and not 5, because:
sometimes they put the tables really close so it's like seating together with other people, total strangers which I don't like. At least not in places like that. In other places like pubs or fastfood restaurants it is different.
food (4/5) is not wow (although really nice and good quality) and desserts are decent but again nothing too special (3/5).
Some of the stuff (few) could look a little bit more sharp and clean.
In general I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone. Nice plus: the small garden around the restaurant where you can seat outside during the summer.
Ps: right next to it, there is a latin club if you wanna dance...
Read moreAgora Select delivers a memorable dining experience in the heart of Athens, striking the perfect balance between ambiance, service, and quality. From the moment we stepped in, we were welcomed by a warm and inviting atmosphere that felt both elegant and relaxed—ideal for everything from a quiet dinner for two to a larger group gathering.
Service was prompt and efficient, but never rushed. The servers were exceptionally friendly, professional, and genuinely attentive, making sure we were comfortable throughout the meal. Their hospitality shone through in small gestures, especially when they surprised us with complimentary dessert—a sweet and thoughtful touch that left a lasting impression.
The menu offers a good range of options, and the kitchen clearly knows how to handle both intimate orders and group requests without compromising quality. Whether you’re visiting as a solo diner or with a big party, you’ll be well taken care of.
Prices were reasonable, especially given the high standard of food, service, and overall experience.
Agora Select is the kind of place you’ll want to return to—not just for the food, but for the whole experience. Highly recommended!
