Many places ro choose from down this strip in front of the coluseeum, but this one drew us in with the offer of taramasalata. We are from Canada and the taramasalata we have there is much more "commercial friendly" (think chicken balls with sweet cherry glaze being passed off as Chinese food) We are now a little sad that the stuff we get in canada is not even close to the real deal here in Athens. It was salty and velvety with just enough mild fish taste to remind you that it is roe. Served with a lovely warm pita with Oregano. We also tried the dolmas (grape vine leaves wrapped around rice). They were delicious! Think of your Canadian Aunt's cabbage rolls, but make them Greek and brined and served with a Greek yogurt dill sauce. Delicious!! Great place along the strip for a bite to eat and to...

Small place on strip at Acropoli metro stop. Very quiet chilly December day. No crowds at all. Tiny view of Acropolis.

Pita, beef plate, hummus were good, not great (Kostas is better) however. Hummus was smooth but needs some flavor (pine nuts, sumac?). Bread was ok but a few pieces, a bit too thick. Plate was ok, but too much onion and garnish, made the plate seem full. 12E seems alot for what was presented. Meat was well done, spiced nicely, moist not oily, cooked just right.

Service was very friendly; turned heater on, corrected wobbly table. WC in the back. Seating comfortable, although tables are small. Area has cover and plastic sheets for weather.

Good place in a long row of decent restaurants; just...

Unfriendly souvlaki takeaway without any service. I ordered 2 chicken souvlaki with some tzatziki. The cashier asked if I would like to have pita bread with it and after saying 2 times no, they still served pita with it! But the most surprising thing was that the portion of tzatziki I got with the skewers were more expensive than the skewers itself, how is that even possible?! Not customer friendly at all, they just try to make as much money by using tourists who want to enjoy authentic Greek food. This is the last place I would recommend to enjoy Greek Souvlaki. Fortunately most souvlaki restaurants are really friendly and are excellent choices! This is one of the exceptions,...

Was looking around after visiting the acropolis and agoras and we landed here. ATH souvlaki was amazing. My gf and I ordered the pork and chicken gyros with a Greeks salad. We also ordered 1 chicken and 1 kebab souvlaki skewer. I ordered an Alpha beer and my gf had the 3 cool cats wine. The beer was cold and refreshing. All the food was amazing. Defiantly recommend it. In fact we liked it so much that we ordered a gyro platter and kebab to go. All said and done the bill was just 32.50 euros for two meals for two.

Let me tell you how much I love this place: I’ve been traveling to Greece for my last 10 years (mostly every year), and after 15 months this was my first stop, why? Because they have the best gyros and the best souvlaki in this area. You will see it as a little place, and that’s a good sign LOL. Just sit down, enjoy yourself and don’t forget to order a Mamos beer. (Consider that gyro wraps are only to take away). Oh, and the best part: THE PRICES!!

I do really recommend this kebab-gyros restaurant. The staff is very kind and nice. Everything is fresh and delicious and portions are so big that I had hardly manage to eat everything. Prices are quite low considering how much food is being served. Even if you are a tourist, you won't be cheated on the size of your meal like some other restaurants. Good place to eat a lot and taste local food :)
