As a Greek living abroad and visiting mainly as a tourist, Regal is the kind of bar that none of us would feel proud for. Despite the nice deco, design and the extensive menu the service is simply unforgivable. We sat mid September 2020 to have a drink and a snack. There was a QR code on the table prompting customers to download the menu. I had a read through and ordered a turkey cheese toast and my friend asked if there were any refreshments and she got proposed for a non alcoholic sparkling drink with ginger and lime. Waitress (quite polite) brought as the receipt. 3.00€ for the toast and 7.00€ (!!) for the refreshment which was not in the electronic catalogue. Nevertheless, I didn't argue and went inside the store to pay by card. The store manager told me that the total is 11.00€. When I asked why, since the receipt was 3.00€ for the toast and the irrational 7.00 € for the refreshment he told me that there was a new pricing which hasn't been updated online and the waitress made a mistake charging us 3.00€ instead of 4.00€... And he was insisting that he was right. We don't care about the 1 euro. But for this kind of totally attitude the 1 star review is totally what the place deserves. Change your attitude before...
Read moreNot happy about this place. Lost three of the five stars because: 1: It took waaay too long to prepare a fresh orange juice and two breakfasts 2: The orange juice wasn't even close to cold. With temperatures of up to 38 degrees i would've appreciated a cold drink. The waitress did bring some ice cubes after i asked for it. Namely: 2 cubes. Still not enough to make it refreshing. 3: For some reason, the poached egg came on a supersweet sandwich and with syrup. Not a great combination. Also, the omelet came with fries, which wasn't stated in the menu.
Still two stars because the omelet tasted good and the waitress was friendly (in contrary to the boss).
UPDATE, in response to the owners comment: This review is from the same day as Tina Tuerlings', with the same experience. Maybe one review would have been enough, you are right. However, when i came to pay and you asked me whether i wanted to tip, i told you i didn't because i wasn't happy. You completely ignored this remark and continued with your business. If you would've listened to my thoughts then, with an open mind, maybe i would have changed my mind. Sadly enough, this...
Read moreWe found this place after a long morning visiting the acropolis. We were thirsty and hungry, but since we didn't have enough to drink in the heat, we started by ordering water, coffee, and smoothies. Well, at least we tried. The waiter at this place, who was male, didn't like that we didn't order any food straight away and said "this isn't a coffee shop, to be here you have to order food" but in a way more rude manner. Now I could understand that it would be upsetting if we have ordered just two waters and wanted to take up space in the restaurant, but coffee plus smoothie would be more than the cheapest food item on the menu, (smoothie was 8 euro) so I'm not sure what the waiter was whining about. I don't know if the waiter had a bad morning or what it was, but...
