Cocona — Restaurant in Athens

Good stuff that I would like to enjoy sitting down ... instead of a fast-food & take out set up that is, of course, ideal during the Covid 19 lockdown period.

The shop offers a variety of Greek pies that are pretty good but I prefer the Gözleme that is made with a bit thicker phyllo pastry and filled with your choice of either savory or sweet ingredients ranging from cheese, cold cuts, veggies to vanilla custard... to mention a few.

The Gözleme is also made in front of you on a special griddle pan/oven and thus it's always extra fresh & delicious!

Pies and Giozleme like a dream come true. A big variety to pick from and everything fresh and perfectly made 👌🏻. I took the cheese pie that had a crunchy and aery crust with a delicious filling, without being oily as the usually pies. I also took a Giozleme Lachmajun, that to my surprise it could be served with Greek yogurt and a quarter of a lemon that combined perfectly.. The owner and maker there was very friendly and energetic. I will definitely revisit to taste the other...

I don't even know where to begin,my family and I came to Athens for the first time,and after eating a lot of delicious things in our lives, we all agreed that we haven't tried anything similar to their famous "giozleme". Also,the restaurant is a family business,and the owner was so nice, she left a really great impression on all of us.
