Olympias Athinas — Restaurant in Athens

What happened tonight was rather a kind of absurdity, but nonetheless it happened. I visited the place that I know very well, cause I am a regular there, on 17.12.2023, with a friend of mine for a pre - birthday drinks, I was planning my birthday evening there. At some point, I have noticed a couple having fun at the bar, and so cheerfully I decided to dedicate some silly but altogether nice song to them. I approached the ladies working at the bar and I said "is it ok to play a song to these people" - the person from the bar, a woman, said its ok, but her attitude told me otherwise. To cut the story short, she never played the song, although the whole place was empty, only 2 (two) tables were busy. The couple already left. When I approached the bar tender and ask why she did not play the music she became very defensive starting - "I am not your DJ". So I was like wow, ok, of course you are not my DJ, I left to sit at my table and to talk to a friend of mine, while the bartender followed me and when she reached our table she started yelling "now pay and leave!" and then repeatedly , "I'm not your DJ", "I'm here to make drinks" and "who do you think you are". I was absolutely gobsmacked. It is the first time I saw this person there, although I frequent now and then. I always thought it was a nice , peaceful place to sit and hide from the crowd, but now I do not know...

Go lovely team and atmos. We were staying round the corner, it was late ish and raining and we fancied drink with a bit of atmosphere and a view. They have every liquor you may possibly want and the cocktails are great, served by a great team. Fun to talk to, knowledgeable, full of recommendations and also, importantly, know how to run a bar. Free peanuts :-) and great view of the acropolis and Parthenon. Off season, late and rainy, it felt like we were in a B movie, in a good way.

It has a neglected entrance as others have said, but ignore that, just hop into the lift and head to the 6th floor. Well designed decor and well curated music, we had a great evening, THANK YOU 😍

Great little quiet bar with an absolutely amazing view of the Acropolis. Thought it would be busy however was pretty quiet with only a few tables in use. Can imagine it gets busy in the summer and weekends though. Looks a bit dodgy going in from the bottom floor however once you get up it’s a modern bar. Just came for drinks, cocktails were amazing and big! Had a zombie and mai tai, both great. Drinks came accompanied with nuts the first round and Doritos the second. Really friendly and great service. Toilets could do with a bit of a makeover but not sure if they are shared ones for the building. Place is a bit hidden away but worth going to. Would...
