Piazza Duomo Athènes — Restaurant in Athens

I went here yesterday. I needed to stop and sit just for a break after a long tour, so I took a coffe. The lady at the till seemed to be very rude, keep telling me that for the coffe to go I had to move on the side of the entrance, cause the main door was only for who was served at the table. I didn't know that I couldn't sit there if having the coffe in a take away cup. Anyway I moved to the side as couldn't stand her anymore. Exhausted and with the coffe i asked to the waiter at the main entrance if I could sit at the table. He looked so annoyed and made it clear that I would be just sat there for no more than 10 minutes. What a horrible customer service. I sat down and felt to be always observed by them waiting for me to leave. What's wrong with people in Athens in general? On the same day everywhere I went, I had a very rude treatment. Anyway. I wouldn't give no even a star and yes the coffee was horrible. Obviously as Italian , I can't expect a lot. Awful place and service. We order pizza and salad and waited 45 minutes. We wanted to be polite and after this period we asked what about our order. The waiter said it will be ready soon. We waited additional 20 minutes, only after we asked for the bill wanted to pay for the soft drinks they finally bring us the meals. The salad was editable but not more than that, the pizza base was probably pre-made frozen base. The couple next to us waited 80 minutes and gave up. Another family from French was also about to leave. The most insulting thing is that they charge you like nothing has happened. They fully charged the couple next to us for the drinks even though they did not get their food. The do not hesitate to convince people sitting in this restaurant while they are unable to serve them. The owner should be shamed of this service. Please do not visit placed that do not respect their customers. Place like that in the US or in other place won't survive more...

Visited Piazza on our last few hours in Athens. Purposely ordered quick and easy food items such as salads & club sandwiches as time for us was restricted. 50 minutes after ordering we finally got the food which was served cold. Further, whilst waiting all this time for our food, the staff members couldn’t manager to work the fan that was placed directly above our table. Apparently turning it on would cut the power of the whole cafe. Lastly, we finally got our bill that we continually had to ask for. The cost of the food and drinks did not match the menu we were given. This cafe has 3 different menus with various prices. We made sure to speak to management but he had no concern because most tourist don’t realise! Only visit here if you have many hours to waste! Customer service and customer satisfaction is definitely not...
