Stay away from this place y'all. There's a reason why this restaurant is NOT on TripAdvisor. They're so sketchy when it comes to the bill. Oh but the server Yani ain't never seen someone like me before. Keep reading. We told Yani we were celebrating our honeymoon. He was like oh special dinner. We were excited. We're just spoiled back home when it comes to good customer service. The food itself was pretty good. We got the seafood platter (not on menu): sea bream whole fish, calamari, shrimp head on and octopus. All items are a la carte but he was like, "i make platter for you, dont worry".That shoulda been the red flag. Also got 1 Greek salad to share. They brought us pita which we didn't ask for but charged for it. I thought it was complimentary. I asked for a sweet cocktail. He suggested some drink, didn't know what it was but i said ok. It tasted like sweet gasoline!!!! I told him I didn't like it. Then he low-key yelled at me, "but it's sweet!!". I told him it was way too strong. He got upset when I told him to clear it from the table and forced it back down. Then the bill came and he thought we would just blindly pay. The bill was legit a piece of paper with numbers. He refused to give a breakdown and acted like he didn't know what I was asking. I asked 3 times. Then when my husband gave him the card he wanted him to go inside. By this time I'm mad so I go, THAT'S MY CARD. So this man knew he was screwed. I asked for a breakdown again and this dude legit screamed at me, YOU'RE Being DIFFICULT. Wow.. what a way to speak to a customer. So I asked my husband does this receipt look right? And then the server goes, YES IT'S RIGHT. I looked at him and I go, "I'm talking to my husband (not you)". And I told him this is so rude and unethical. And that all the places I've been to give an itemized receipt. After he broke it down I went inside w.him to pay. As he handed my card to the guy behind the window, i told Yani, you're so rude, I want you to knowthat. he was talking smack in Greek to the guy behind the window who ran my card and I heard the word "tip". I'm thinking to myself oh I ain't giving you no tip. I do not reward this kind of behavior. If you think I'm going to tip you, you're insane. They ran my card and this dude gave me my card back w.receipt and shooed me out. He knew he wasn't getting no tip on a $104.80 dinner. OH and the sweet gasoline, yeah they still charged for it. That's his tip. Back home they would've taken it back and been like, can I get you something else. We didn't bother...

This is what you come to Athens for - pure, unfiltered Greek soul. Hidden away from the tourist crowds, this family-run gem serves what might genuinely be the best gyros in the city.
The moment you step inside, you're transported into genuine Greek living - no marketing gimmicks, no manufactured "authenticity." Just three generations of passion, with walls adorned with classic Greek cinema photos that tell the story of this neighborhood's golden era.
The gyros? Perfection. House-made pita, traditional tzatziki, and that unmistakable flavor that only comes from decades of family recipes passed down through loving hands.
But it's more than the food - it's the philoxenia, that legendary Greek hospitality. The owner's personal touch is everywhere, creating an atmosphere where you don't just eat, you become part of the story.
This is the Athens locals know and love. If you want to experience the real heart of Greek culture, away from the tourist traps, this is your...
Read moreWent to this place as seemed popular. Dishes arrived at all different times. Then one dish never arrived and the waiter said problem with the gas. Sorry can't cook carbonara! Food was very poor. Klefitico was fatty old lamb stewed in its own fat and served in parchment paper. Practically tasteless Have had much better kleftico in other greek restaurants outside of Athens. Moussaka was nothing special at all. Save your money and time and go elsewhere this is a tourist trap. And by the way, we had to go to McDonald's after leaving this restaurant to feed my teenage son as his meal never arrived and we were all still hungry. I paid 55 euros for two portions of moussaka and 1 klefitico, no side display or anything, 1 beer and 2 bottles of mineral water.
Wish we had gone to McDonald's rather than this restaurant. By the way we had much better meals down by Paleao Faliron. Restaurants outside of Plaka serve local greeks and not just tourists, so food is much...
