While looking for the Rooftop garden restaurant, the employee from Thea and I had a misunderstanding. He thought I just wanted any rooftop seating, and I thought he said they were the restaurant named Rooftop Garden. My mother was urging to eat breakfast, so I caved and went along with eating here, although I wasn't happy about eating in a place without consulting the overall google review of the place. What we both learned is to stick with the original plan when searching for a place to eat.
On the outside, staff is friendly and decor is nice but after ordering and eating their breakfast, it was not worth the climb of the 3 flights of stairs.
Firstly, the pancakes were drowned in syrup (next time, we will ask for syrup on the side and not assume that everyone knows not to put the maple syrup on the pancakes when serving it). They were also thinner than the fluffy pancakes we eat back home. Seemed more like crepes.
My mom ordered eggs over medium and i ordered fried eggs and we got the opposite. Luckily, we were able to switch the eggs among each other but what would have happened if we ordered by ourselves. Even the sunny side egg I gave my mom was overly fried on the bottom despite the gooey egg yolk so she was not happy.
Their version of bacon is the canadian version so we ended up with slices of cooked ham. My full breakfast said potatoes which I assumed was breakfast diced and stir fried potatoes but it was just french fries.
My apple juice was a frothy apple foam of fresh apples so I had to drink a water I had in my bag to quench my thirst. My toast was not buttered or toasty and the feta cheese was a bit dry (which I usually expect until I had great fresh feta at another Greek restaurant yesterday).
The only good thing was a very orange yolk on the eggs, which showed it was good quality eggs. If you sit far out on the rooftop, you can see the acropolis while you eat. Bathroom is located on the second floor while rooftop is on the 3rd floor. Food quality is typical of any roadside diner, nothing out of the ordinary.
Had to pay downstairs by the bar since it was with credit card. Cost me $30 for 1 apple juice, pancakes, eggs/bacon dish and a full breakfast dish.
They also have a bakery by the bar and an ice cream area but i don't think we will be coming back to try lunch or dinner since there are plenty of options in the area and we only have a day...

After oredering and waiting over 45min for being served a simple breakfast, once were served, the breakfast wasn't even complete, it was missing some ingredients that were included in the menu. I asked for a discount (the first time ever by me) to compensate the looooong wait and the missing food, and all I had was a "sorry". Not to mention the overpriced value for what they gave us... it was 28€ for 2 breakfast. Breakfast 1: 2 eggs plus 2 white bread toasts, 1 coffee and a horrible bottle juice. Breakfast 2: 2 eggs, 1 sausage, ham and white toasts, 1 coffee and 1 fresh orange juice (this one was good).... not good for value at all... I will never go...
Read moreVEGANS DO NOT EAT HERE I was served meat Musaka after ordering vegan, waiter denied it was meat for several minutes before his friend who works there said it wasn’t vegan. They then served me cold microwaved (from frozen) vegan musaka which was awful. They didn’t have the vegan humus and they also served me fries with feta despite my (Greek) husband saying that I was vegan and allergic to cheese.
They then served my non vegan husband a dairy based desert to say sorry and didn’t acknowledge me at all. Waiter was very chauvinistic and didn’t acknowledge me, a woman, at all despite me trying.
Honestly - horrific. Added photo of vegan version which was completely solid.
We paid full price for everything and didn’t ask for a discount. We shouldn’t have...
