We stayed in 2 different hotel rooms because we booked too late and our first choice was only available for the first 3 days. our first choice was the suite with the rooftop hot tub. It was amazing. The rooftop is just as large in person as it is in the pics. However, if you have mobility issues, be warned that there is a steep spiral staircase to get up to it. But, once you're up there, the views are great and it's beautiful and relaxing. The room itself was larger than expected and had 2 showers and 2 sinks. A little extra nice for my spouse and I to have our own spots for all of our stuff. ||The second room was also spacious and very nice. We were expecting a downgrade but were pleasantly surprised that it was still a really great room. It also had a balcony which overlooked a beautiful street with lots of greenery. ||Also of note is the fantastic location. It's within a short walk of all of the major attractions in Athens. But saving the best for last is the included breakfast. It's not just a continental. They have omelets and french toast to order, along with fruit, cereals, eggs, breads, ect. We kept meaning to go somewhere else for breakfast, but with what they offered it was hard to pass up. We ate there every morning, not just because it was free, but because...
Read moreA small perfectly located b&b-style hotel in the Plaka neighborhood of Athens with many views of the Acropolis all around you. This is an ancient building according to the literature. The rooms are simple, one may say old fashion but clean and the bed was very comfy. The bathroom was updated and had multi spray shower head system, which after a long day exploring Plaka, was greatly appreciated. Breakfast was also included (meats, cheese and eggs, etc.) You cannot beat the area if you want to be fully immersed in the local culture. Note the hotel does not have a restaurant, bar or roof deck but there are many right around the corner. We did have a small balcony with table and 2 chairs. A bottle of wine in our room was complementary which was a nice touch. Please note they did not have a traditional check-in reception area, you checked in at the gelato shop next to the suites, no kidding. If you are looking for a great location and value, this...
