A Surprising Gem of a Vietnamese Spot – Exceeded Expectations!
I had the pleasure of discovering this Vietnamese restaurant recently, and I have to say, I was pleasantly surprised. From the moment I walked in, I was warmly greeted by Shakira, who truly made my visit memorable. Her kind attitude, genuine smile, and attentive service immediately made me feel welcome and comfortable. She really took care of me and my order in a way that elevated the entire experience — she’s amazing at what she does.
First Impressions:
To be honest, I initially had some doubts about the place. It’s located in a spot that doesn’t exactly scream high-end, and the interior isn’t luxurious by any means. Naturally, that made me wonder about the quality and hygiene of the food. But those worries were completely washed away once I started eating.
The Food:
I ordered three dishes: • Shrimp Fried Rolls • Shrimp Dumplings • Beef Pho
Let’s break it down:
Shrimp Fried Rolls – 3 out of 5 These were decent. The texture was crispy, and the shrimp flavor came through, but they didn’t blow me away. I’ve had better, but I’ve also had worse. They’re a good side to share or snack on if you’re craving something crunchy.
Shrimp Dumplings – 2.5 out of 5 This was the only dish that didn’t sit right with me. I personally didn’t like the fishy smell, which was a bit too strong for my taste. It might be a hit for someone who enjoys bold seafood flavors, but it just wasn’t for me.
Beef Pho – 5 out of 5 Now this was the star of the meal. The pho was absolutely amazing. The broth was clean, rich, and flavorful without being greasy or overpowering. I was especially impressed by how fresh the vegetables were — they still had that satisfying crunch that shows they were properly washed, stored, and prepped. The beef was tender and had no bad smell, which is always a good sign when it comes to pho. Everything about this bowl felt balanced, comforting, and made with care.
Overall Thoughts:
This restaurant may not look fancy or high-end, but don’t let appearances fool you. The kitchen clearly takes hygiene, freshness, and flavor seriously, and that’s what really matters. Shakira’s excellent service combined with the delicious pho made the visit more than worth it.
If you’re someone who enjoys authentic Vietnamese flavors and values friendly, heartfelt service, I absolutely recommend giving this place a try. Just go in knowing what to expect from the space itself, and you’ll likely walk out as satisfied as I did.
I’ll definitely be coming back for that pho — and for Shakira’s wonderful...
