Bread Factory Μεταξουργείο — Restaurant in Athens

If I can give this place a -5, I would. Two weeks ago my family,friend, and I visited late to get dinner after an exursion and we waited patiently to be served, but the woman would immediately serve others who walked in after us. My sister brought it to her attention that we were waiting to be served. She began to process 3 out of the 4 of our orders when the man there with her gestured and told her to help others, she immediately stop helping us and again served others. I felt like I was timed warp into the 1940s during segregation when blacks were refused service. I asked the man why he did told her to stop serving us and he aggressively asked me if I understood Greek and started talking Greek. I can't imagine there are still people or companies that still practice racism. I do not recommend this bakery / restaurant to anyone especially if you stand for justice and righteousness. We left the establishment and visited a nice outdoor restaurant that served delicious food. Was a regular client and I had previously praised this place for an excellent value for money ratio. I think they need to engage themselves seriously with personnel training, as also other posters suggest. My latest experience: I went there standing in line and when my turn came they served the persons behind me. I did not protest and waited patiently till they finished with them. Then, instead of serving me, they asked to serve the person standing behind me again. I am very calm as a character but this was too much. As a result I protested loudly which in turn had the security man protest against me although he admitted I was right. A daily customer lost. This establishment needs urgently to organise and coordinate its personnel. While it is mostly consisted by good people, the lack of coordination is more than evident. Everybody cannot do everything and people waiting while someone is on the back bringing dishes or cleaning, is a no-no in a business like that for instance. Like location perfect. The food is so good and the balance quality and price is great. The service is good but can be more polite and organise. They need supervisor around. There is a lot of people working there just need somebody to synchronize them. The worst is the extremely dirty toilets. Shame. I was so happy with the food there and I was client almost every day for long period because I made renovation of my flat and this was good solution for the food 2 months. When I use the toilets, oh my god, I was shocked. When I go out I feel so sorry that I visit this rest room. I told them inside, and the answer was with attitude... something like... Ok Ok we will see what is happen there... I am so sorry for this review because the food taste really good, but I believe that when you make money with drinks and food one of the most important things is the hygiene and the toilets are always the monitor what is happen in the kitchen or behind the bar.
