456 reviews and all 5 stars?! Needless to say at first I was doubtful, astonished and now here I am writing a 5 star review. As a Vietnamese food lover who was missing the beautiful cuisine in Athens this place fully satiated my cravings. Starting off the service and waitstaff are wonderful, kind and polite, instantly moving to turn the outdoor fans on for our comfort. The location is also great with plenty of local shops and restaurants nearby and it is in a very central location in the city. And finally of course, the food. We ordered the Cha Siu noodles, Wonton noodle soup, The Shrimp dumplings and the Peach Ice Tea. Incredible. So very very delicious. The Cha Siu noodles were delicious and warm with an incredibly comforting and glossy sauce that perfectly accompanies the delicious succulent slices of Cha Siu. The wonton noodle soup was light and deliciously flavoured (a great mix of spices, delicious and not overpowering) with perfectly cooked noodles and juicy and flavourful wontons, truly a must have! The peach lemon ice tea came beautifully presented with ice and a lovely straw, it was fresh, sweet and lightly tart, I highly recommend for a hot day. Last and certainly not least, as well as a big highlight for myself were the shrimp dumplings. Beautifully folded and crafted with a delicious prawn filling - which upon further inquiry is a product of the chef hand peeling and preparing all of them and also folding the dumpling dough themself - is spectacular, criminal to leave untried. And that’s not even mentioning the incredible and light vinegar sauce that accompanies it. If you’re missing Asian food in Greece and are craving some comforting and flavoursome Vietnamese food, I implore you to try Vietnam...
Read moreThis is the second vietnamese restaurant we visited while in Athens, and we were very satisfied with their food. They have only been open for about 1 month. They have very fresh and high quality food. I was hesitant to try their bánh cuốn because my mother in law is famous for this dish back home. I am glad I tried it. It's on par or even better than my mom's, and that is saying a lot. The rice paper they use for their bánh cuốn is freshly made to order by hand, which requires great timing and skill. My wife had the bún riêu tôm, which she greatly enjoyed. The waitress was very attentive and made great suggestions. She was very fast and friendly. The owner is very nice and kind. He also checked on us regularly to see if we had even we needed. I highly...
Read moreTruth be told I saw the perfect rating and came in skeptical, but I'm glad to say it fully deserves 5 stars. This is world class Pho . Coming from Toronto, which presumably has a larger Vietnamese population and more Pho options, I had high expectations.
Ordered the Beef Pho and the noodles were perfectly chewy and not soggy whatsoever. Beef was not served rare as I'm used to, but it was pre tenderized which was just as soft and had great mouthfeel. The broth was not exceptional but pretty damn close. Overall excellent.
As others have mentioned , you get watermelon which was very sweet but also presented in a very cute manner.
If I come back to Greece this will be an establishment I'm going to return to to try the rest of the menu, even if only to take a break...
