Worse experience ever in a Restaurant. Got charmed with the decor and the view of this place and the welcoming gesture of the man a girl at the door ( street). Upon seating a young waiter was on our table and we ordered tap water to start with, which he brought on the table. Then another waiter came to place the cutlery and plate, he then started to question the young one in about was he has served us a tap water not a bottle, the young replied this is what they have requested he then got back and told if off for giving us tap water and also that he suggested it. The top was he told him just leave it on the table don't serve them while at the same time smiling at us and being ( kind). The whole conversation was in Greek sad for him my wife is Greek and heard the whole conversation and was livid at what she was ๐. We stood up and reported the incident to the 2 people who sold us the place and the gentleman himself.
Very bad manners thinking tourist are just a cash cow and should not be respected. Just Imagine what else he has been saying about all guests at the restaurant in Greek ludicrous.
The response you are giving clearly shows the attitude of some of your workers. An apology is the best way first for a good management and the issue wasn't much about water ,but about the attitude and culture read more of your reviews to see and make the changes. I would not eat even the best greek food in such an...
ย ย ย Read moreI was very disappointed, We didn't even make it inside honestly. I researched and found this place before leaving because my mom is vegetarian and loves moussaka. This place has really good reviews about it. We made our way there for her birthday dinner and she was very excited. The little man outside was so rude to us! I asked if they had vegetarian moussaka (as it was not on the online menu) and he said yes we have fried tomatoes and pointed that out on the menu, my mom then said ok fun do you also have moussaka and he looked at her like she was an idiot and said yes and proceeded to read the words vegetarian Moussaka (that was under his finger and therefore not visible) very slowly and said what's wrong with you do you not even speak english? She was taken a back but laughed and said ah ok no it was just hidden under your finger I see and he scoffed waved his hand and said to get out of there.
I try to not leave bad reviews as I know times are hard everywhere but this was just so disappointing we had been waiting to come to this restaurant Since November.( almost 3 months). I don't think scarring off customers before they even get in is the best...
ย ย ย Read moreFirst let me thank the charming lady due to whom we entered this beautiful restaurant. During one evening in August around 8 PM we were looking for a restaurant serving some good veg dishes when we stopped at Ydria ro read the menu. A lady, standing at reception immediately told us about 5/6 veg dishes which they could serve. Somehow we were not convinced and decided to look for some other place. She gave us their visiting card and told us politely that if you don't get a better place then please come back. She was full of confidence that we would come back. After searching for another 45 minutes we had no choice but to come back. No doubt she was just too happy to see us back. During our stay in Greece at various places we tried to order veg moussaka but none of the restaurant prepared it in veg. Ydria did. It was very delicious. We had a nice white wine and one more veg dish(don't remember name). The ambiance was great very informal and lively. In spite of being crowded the service was very fast and friendly. The prices were reasonable. Thanks our lady server and Ydria for nice evening and Greek food. THE place for...
