NS Place — Hotel in Athens

My family and I stayed here for a few days while visiting Greece for the first time and we’re glad we chose NS place for what it offered.

Location - you’re basically in the heart of everything. Acropolis, food tours, Athens museum of Ancient Technology and tons of restaurants. FYI, an added bonus is our room gave us a view of the Parthenon at night time and it was incredible. One small drawback is that it can be a little noisy due to it being so central. However, it didn’t really affect our sleep/trip too much.

Amenities - the rooms were large and clean. Very modern and sleek looking. Lots of windows in the main “master” bedroom. NS place is on the second and third floor (on top of a Starbucks) so you can wake up and go down stairs for coffee(although we’d encourage you to try local coffee).

Transportation - NS place offers a shuttle service to and from the hotel. For our size family (3 of us) the shuttle was 50 euros each way and it was well worth it. They meet you inside the airport, take you directly to NS place and help you check in (they even gave us some restaurant recommendations!). On our way back to the airport, they were right on time to pick us and take us to the airport. Definitely comparable to uber but door to door service.

Responsiveness- NS place does not have a “traditional” hotel check in/concierge but they are very responsive when you message them on WhatsApp. They even allowed us to leave our bags in our room (after we checked out) for a few hours due to our flight late afternoon.

The only issue we had was that we did not have much hot water the last two nights...

We stayed at NS Place for 4 nights and couldn’t have asked for a better stay. From the moment we arrived and were met by a host, to when they arranged a very early morning transfer to the airport for us - we were completely satisfied with everything,. We had a 2-room apt, for us and our daughter, comfortable beds, flat screen tvs, modern bath, and a wonderfully equipped kitchenette w fridge, cooktop, microwave, coffee AND espresso makers! W complimentary espresso pods! The apts are above a Starbucks but we didn’t need to buy any coffee! The location was a gem. Surrounded by restaurants with outdoor dining, and a block or so from the famous marketplace of streets and streets of vendors that sold everything. Gelato stores on every block. And a short walk to other popular neighborhoods like plakka, and of course the ever-present Acropolis a short walk away. We took an easy metro ride, w a 3-min walk to the apt. Above the apt is a nice restaurant with a roof deck w a spectacular view of the Acropolis. As others have said, there’s a gym and laundry. The accomodations at NS place were great. Very clean and spacious. Good value for the location. The property is near the airport shuttle stop (I would recommend a quick uber to the property and not walking with bags). The gym has the basic equipment for a decent workout (treadmill, free weights, and accessories). The property has lots of information to guide you on tours/directions. The property's elevator and entrance uses keycard access which makes it a little bit more secure than your basic key access AirBnB. The units are not soundproofed so you will hear a lot of sound from the outside, elevator, hallway, and entranceway. I could hear other guests come and go very loudly. The property was able to check me in early in the morning (3am) with notice which was appreciated and via whatsapp communication.

Due to a missed connection that was the airline's fault, I missed using 2 nights of my prepaid accomodation. The hotel refused to refund the unused accomodations portion of my stay, which is understandable but the missed connection wasn't my fault. (otherwise I would have given an...
