Mitato Agios Nikolaos Restaurant — Restaurant in Municipality of Agios Nikolaos

We were warmly welcomed by one of the waiters even though we didn’t have a reservation and were seated at the only available table. We started with a generous appetizer that included 8 pieces and 3 portions of traditional Greek cheese. For the main course, we ordered a cheeseburger with fries and a lamb dish with mashed potatoes. The portions were surprisingly large — it’s one of the few places where we couldn’t finish our meals! Everything was delicious, so we decided to take the leftovers to go.

At the end of our meal, we were treated to a complimentary platter with three types of fresh fruit and a small dessert. You can pay by card or cash, and the final bill was actually lower than what we’ve paid at other restaurants for similar meals.

Very friendly and relaxed personnel. They patiently wait on you and the service is efficient yet caring. Not rushing you at all.

The surrounding atmosphere is great w a great view of the lake.

The food is delicious. We had the picanha and beetroot ravioli. Both felt fresh and were very tasty. The chocolate dessert was lovely also!

We aim to go back to try the antikristo lamb, which the waiter explained can be shared among several people as it is served by weight.

This restaurant is a must if you're in Agios Nikolaos.

We found this restaurant during our visit to Ag. Nikolaus this Aug 24, while we were walking around the inner lake. Our attention was immediately drawn by the good smell of the food, the way the dishes looked, and the special barbecue (Antikristo) with which the meat was cooked. We were welcomed in a friendly and kind manner by all the staff who made us feel at home.
