Gabao — Restaurant in Municipality of Central Corfu and Diapontia Islands

Possibly the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. My partner kindly greeted the owner in Greek and she immediately snapped replying I don’t speak Greek. Rudely threw us the menus and marched off behind her counter. My partner immediately left because we’d never spend a dime on such a disgraceful place. I was so shocked by the rudeness and had to ask her if there was something seriously wrong with her. I work in customer service and have never met nor spoken to someone so disrespectfully. We had a great experience here. Gabao was very welcoming and you felt as though you were at her home and she was cooking for you. She is the only one who works there so definitely don't be in a rush, especially if you come right at opening like we did but everything was well worth the wait. I had an espresso, tonic, and lime drink that was divine and we had the omelette burrito and something reminiscent of a Croque Madame but with lots of freshness and her own twist on it. Well, it's a small place with a perfect decoration (inside) and in a good location. It is very nice to drink coffee or if you want to stay there with your laptop. It's not ok if you want to eat a brunch.... They offer 3 choices for brunch, we tried 2 of them and one wasn't ok but the problem is that you have to wait a lot..... 45 minutes for 2 dishes, 2 coffees and one juice. Although the polite lady told us that food will take some time (very positive that she said that before we order), locals told us that they always late...
