Restaurant Anthos — Restaurant in Municipality of Central Corfu and Diapontia Islands

Wow. The best meal I’ve had for a long time. I stumbled on this restaurant by chance and what a welcome surprise it was. The waitress who served us was so friendly (my son gave her his life story and she engaged with him the whole time), she gave great advice on the wine options and was just the right amount of attentive without being overbearing throughout the meal. As for the meal, my sea bass was cooked to perfection as was everyone else’s meals. The kids loved their pasta and the whole family had a wonderful evening. I wouldn’t call it a ‘family’ restaurant in the traditional sense. Their clientele is probably more couples/adults generally (they don’t have high chairs). However, when all 7 of us (ranging from 2yo-78yo) said it’s the best meal we’ve had this holiday, it’s certainly this family’s favourite Corfu restaurant.

Disclaimer: I was unable to verify the above with the 2yo at the time of writing. She may have just been going along with the comments of her 2 older brothers...

This restaurant is a gem.

Reserve to be sure of a table. Our request via Google maps li k was answered in 30mins for a table on the same day.

The owner made us feel very welcome. Genuine warmth and friendly chat.

The restaurant is lovely. Not too many tables. Located down a quiet narrow street in the old town. You can sit in a table for 2 outside which would be nice in the summer but cool in October when we were there.

This is a fish restaurant and the choice was good. Specials obviously available for that day alongside menu mainstays.

The food was excellent. It had an adge of Michelin about it but not in any way pretentious. Just well thought out and very well presented.

If you like fish you'll love the place.

3 courses for 2 with good wine and dessert wine was 137€.

The place had guests who were local as well as well to do tourists. So clearly sought after.

Anthos... A place which you can hardly forget ! The ambient and location was amazing. Restaurant is placed on a little quiet and cosy street from the old town of Corfu. The staff was really friendly and more then dedicated. When we talk about the food... this place go over any borders! They don't love the Mediterranean cuisine, it's more than that, they reinvented it! From the starters to the main courses, they make art! The wine selection is incredible, you can choose from dozens of sortiments, from Greece, but not only from here! I don't want to ruine your surprise with too many details, so I'll let you enjoy it!
