Red Chilli Indian Restaurant — Restaurant in Municipality of Central Corfu and Diapontia Islands

I recently dined at Red Chillies restaurant in Corfu and was extremely disappointed with my experience. The food had absolutely no taste and did not resemble Indian cuisine in the slightest. To make matters worse, I found a wire in my food, indicating a complete lack of hygiene and proper food preparation practices.

As if that wasn't bad enough, I witnessed the chef smoking while cooking my food, which is completely unacceptable and unprofessional. When I brought the issue of the wire in my food to the owner's attention, they did not seem to care at all and brushed off my complaint.

Overall, I would not recommend dining at Red Chillies restaurant in Corfu. The lack of taste, non-Indian food, presence of foreign objects in dishes, and unhygienic practices make it a truly disappointing dining experience. Steer clear of this establishment if you value your health and taste buds.

Update : The owner is a cheat. We did not ask for free food. Please don’t worry about Privacy. Go ahead and share the video to Google and get the review deleted. My comment still stands true. Don’t play tricks to give excuses.

Also please clarify, is it an Indian restaurant? Why do you fool people by saying it is an Indian...

Edited 13/05/24 - The restaurant lied in their response below, shahi paneer was requested to be made the Indian way (Not with extra oil). 😅🥲

PS: To add to restaurant’s knowledge - Indian shahi paneer doesn’t have excess oil (which by the way is bad for gut, cardio health and stomach of a human) and is based on fresh diary butter from cow’s milk. 😉 🐮

Food - Ordered shahi paneer which was literally swimming in oil. See attached pictures. It lacked basic ginger, garlic and onion tadka. Rotis were fine 😒😢

Service - good 👍🏻

I had an incredibly disappointing experience at Red Chilli Restaurant. The food served was far from great, lacking flavour and quality. To make matters worse, I found a metal wire in my food while eating. When I brought this serious issue to the staff's attention, their response was shockingly dismissive and unprofessional.

To add to the horror, I witnessed the chef smoking while preparing food, which is not only unhygienic but completely unacceptable in any dining establishment. The lack of care in food preparation and the blatant disregard for customer safety and hygiene are simply appalling. I will never return to this place and strongly advise others...
