Rosmarino — Restaurant in Municipality of Central Corfu and Diapontia Islands

I was very disappointed since I read in the reviews that you don't take any reservations in August. Anyway, just to make sure, I sent my daughter to ask, and she was told there were no reservations... she did not specify the day. She just asked generally. We came the following day, and half of the tables were occupied and half empty with a sign of... RESERVATION. When I asked why they told my daughter it was not possible, the waiters didn't really know how to reply. Maybe because they saw a young girl and wouldn't trust she was going to spend any money? Who knows. Well, it was our significant anniversary and we went elsewhere. But we will never come back to a place that obviously chooses customers by guessing how much money they would spend and turning them down with such a transparent lie. Edit: I just read your reply. That is even more disappointing. Instead of trying to clear this situation, you get angry. Why would I book through your website if I can do it personally? Nobody asked my daughter for when she wanted to book. Maybe a bit of a kinder approach to your potential customers would should be considered. You never know who you are...

Rosmarino was quite a surprise. Corfu is a small island and while there are restaurants galore it’s hit or miss. This particular evening we had no reservations so we were at the mercy of waiting and finding a place. We stumbled on two pasta places next to one another. We settled on Rosmarino merely due to the reviews. They were better than their neighbors. We were waiting with two men from France to be sat. As a table came open and were all hungry they only had a four top. So we all sat together and paid separately. It was interesting but it was also perfect. My daughter and I ordered the Carbonara and the pesto dish. I have to say the dishes were exceptional. We are pasta lovers and so we know great pasta and the Carbonara was hands down delicious. The pasta on Both dishes were cooked just right. We had the waiter send compliments to the chef as it was al dente and perfect!!! The flavors from the pesto were so fresh and aromatic. It was a perfect dinner without reservations and was worth the wait. Our French table partners ended up being a great convo after dinner too. Glad we found this...

Your response to our reviews, proves our point of rudeness. Instead of attacking our review and wishing us all sorts of bad things, as a business owner, you should instead examine what actually happened. It’s good that your responses are here for everyone to see the kind of ‘hospitality’ you offer.

For the record and as you are trying to remove this review, this is what happened: Contrary to what you said, at 20:30 there was no queue Your blond waiter with ponytail, said ‘we are fully booked sorry’. When we asked for the next day he said the same. In a blunt almost angry face Then we asked a second waiter (dark short hair) and he said that actually we take no reservations and we should have a table ready in a few minutes. When we confronted the ponytail waiter that his colleague is saying that you do have availability, he actually said ‘but with the baby is difficult here’, admitting that he lied to us because if the baby.
