This must be the definition of a tourist trap.
The restaurant has a beautiful view of the harbour and the general atmosphere and the location of the restaurant is quite pleasant. The food however was far away from a pleasant experience. I, myself, ordered some kind of steak with pearl onions and mashed aubergine. Since the menu had pictures of all the dishes, I mistakenly allowed my eyes to do the choosing for me. The beef was overcooked, the mashed aubergine tasted genuinely bad, and the dish was soaked in a tomato sauce that just overpowered the whole dish. I won't, however, say anything bad about the onions. I ended up asking a waiter if the dish was served properly and was told that it was served as it should be.
I've attached the picture from the menu and a picture of what I was served for you to judge for yourself.
We also ordered some salads, pasta, mussels and grilled lamb. The tomatoes in the salad was old and tasted bad (which is bit weird since greek tomatoes generally taste amazing). The pasta was just average according to those who ate it. The mussels tasted OK, but the broth they were cooked was to salty and just not good.
Those who ate the lamb said that it was good, but that the sides were bland.
So in summary; Order a beer or a drink with and enjoy the nice view Lithos has to offer, but do not...
Read moreThe restaurant has a menu with very clear photos positioned at the front so anyone can see what they have on offer. And what's on offer looks great, there were so many dishes we wanted to try!
It is a bit on the expensive side, so I'd definitely recommend it for a special meal and a treat. All the food was delicious. We tried 2 different white wines that we loved as well (one of them was Epoch).
The octopus starter was one of many attractive options and it was excellent, not rubbery at all. The seabass was amazing - it's not often that my partner would be perfectly happy with his white fish when there's a slow cooked lamb on the table as well. The fish has a really crispy skin and the flesh was very tender, the dish was very well flavored with hints of citrus to lift it. The slow cooked lamb was also very tender and well flavored. The menu specifies it it cooked from frozen (kudos for giving this information to the customer) but you cannot tell at all - it melts in your mouth. And the portion size is very generous.
The atmosphere is lovely. The waiters did not pressure us or rush us. They also offered us some complimentary ice cream at the end of the meal. Overall an...
Read moreSo here we are 3 years on. This was our 3rd visit. Despite missing out coming in '22 we were welcomed at the entrance by Vladimir. " I recognise you. You are famous. I have a table for you." And ushered inside the busy restaurant to a table marker reserved. Fabulous service. Fantastic staff. Great atmosphere. And even better food.
Thank you so much for making our visit. Also loved the Spaghetti Bolognese, Prawn Linguine and Garlic Bread Fresh and packed with flavour. Large draught beers and rocket fuel all go down a treat. A delight to round off a trip into the Old Port at night. Visit... But please leave a table for us. Spent around €75

Visited late on a Saturday evening at the end of July. Superb location right on the quayside of the old Venetian port. Fast, friendly service coping well with a busy restaurant service. Sit here and watch the world go by. Amazing views of the Venetian Lighthouse lit up by night. We had Lamb Chops, served with the restaurant's home made chips (crisps) and the local Garlic Bread. Would...
