We had a family dinner tonight, however, the night didn’t go as planned. We decided to dine in by the sea and fortunately, we got our table for seven people easily and fast enough. Moving on, we ordered our starters and mains, and we were excited for our night out. After 15 minutes, salads came first. They were fine. After that, the night was a disaster. There was a huge delay for the mains, and when i asked one of the floor staff, where is our food, he replied to me that kitchen is very busy and this is normal, regarding the 50 min delay…Seriously mate…?? Yessss, It took 50 minutes for the mains to come out and they were COLD. What about that?!!? Furthermore, side dishes never arrived (like chips), and we had to inform the floor staff to bring them over. Cherry on top, was the table right next to us. 10 drunk teenagers were keep drinking and being disrespectful to the rest of the guests. All that, with the compliments of the floor staff. No one came to our table to settle that. How could they…?? They never came over to check on us during our meal anyway.. like: any more water, napkins..? Or even how is your meal going..? Pathetic customer service. Your guests deserve better treatment guys. Train the staff looking after your customers, instead of playing around with………… Very disappointed, never come back, definitely not recommend it. From my experience and perspective, find a floor manager to run the place. Because tonight i spent only $230 and i could had spent easily 3 times more on drinks...

Absolutely the worst dining experience we’ve had in years. Avoid Café Remezzo Chania like the plague.

We were a big group, and first off, the food took over 50 minutes to arrive. When it finally showed up, the chicken was partially raw. YES, RAW! and the seafood smelled like something fished out of a dumpster in July. Presentation? Don’t even get me started. It looked like it was thrown on the plate by someone wearing a blindfold.

Oh, and here’s the kicker: the food was so poorly handled it literally splattered all over our clothes. Not just one person, but multiple people at the table ended up with ruined outfits. Total mess.

Now, you’d think the staff at Remezzo would be apologetic or at least pretend to care. Nope. They were rude, arrogant, and completely useless. When we complained (politely at first, mind you), they actually started arguing back instead of fixing the issue. Like, are you serious?

The location itself is nice, and the staff are all smiles, until something goes wrong. Then the mask drops, and you’re left dealing with the most unprofessional team imaginable.

All in all? Terrible food, worse service, and a completely disrespectful crew. We wouldn’t eat at Remezzo again if it was the last restaurant on Earth.

Save your time, your money, and your dignity, go anywhere (we really mean...

Have to give this place two stars, even tho i want to give them more. After their looks and location they appear as a fine resturant. A fine resturant would know how to work it propperly.

First of all. Their waiter just ledt us with one menue for two minutes, before coming with another menue. Second of all they served the menn before the ladies. Third og all. I would expect that eating here would give me a breake from sellers walking around in the streets and selling cheap stuff, but no. Even with the waiter knowing the seller is walking around in the resturant trying to sell junk to those who want to eat, they do not send him away.

Althrou this, the waiter was not of the best in customer service and looked and where grumy during the meal. Lile we where not spending enough money there to bother him.

Ok, lets get to the food. My girlfriend ordered a vegeterian pizza and myselfe, i ordered a gyros chiken homemade. The best studf first. Vegeterian pizza was filled wit ingrediants and cheese. A bit too much fat, sp it was dripping while she ate. Could have been less fat / oliv oil / cheese. To my grilled chiken. It was lunken, allmost cold and could have some more spices. It was ok, but had expected more for the amound of money we paid.

Would mostly not come back...

They charge 3 euros for being a gluten free food! The place and view is beautiful. Service is ok. I ordered pasta linguini with seafood (gluten free) thinking it was going to be like Italian pasta with seafood as it’s an Italian restaurant. The plate was huge! Looked great! But it tasted awful as if it was added with lots of anise or a similar herb. Nothing like the topical seafood pasta sauce. I asked for parmesano and they did not want to give it to me because according to the chef it’s meant to be eared as served -as if it was a Michelin restaurant-. The seafood tasted a bit strange. I left the food at the end and was told that it was Greek style and the chef adds secret ingredients. It ruined my meal. If I go to an Italian restaurant in a foreign country is to eat Italian not Greek! Anyway. They do have gluten free pizza and pastas. Just be warned it’s Greek way! Who knows what herbs they add to it.

Typically, when we travel we like to try a variety of restaurants….but we couldn’t resist going back for the pork gyro, great service, and harbor views. This was the first we had that wasn’t thinly sliced, off the spit and a bit dry begging for tzatziki- the tzatziki and roast tomato that accompanied the tender sliced pork complimented the protein, but also was enjoyable on it own. The lamb kebab and grilled shrimps earned honorable mention as well. The kebab came as two generous portions of hand formed ground lamb, well spiced an charred on the outside and still tender inside. In spite of the the restaurant being at capacity when we arrived the second time, they still found us a table for two, dishes came out in an appropriate amount of time and the service (although there were only three people working the table service) was expeditious and polite. Go, enjoy!
