New China — Restaurant in Municipality of Heraklion

Looks like a family run business. Very good service especially when not overcrowded. Best Value for money food in all of Crete, we traveled from Falasarna and Chania all the way to Siteia, Mallia, Agios Nikolaos and back.

There are menues for 2 for 38 and 40€, get the most expensive options or anything you like. You can even customize a little. The menu for 2 people is more like for 4 people or 5 if you have children with you and everybody sharing everything especially for dinner

We left very satisfied with the value proposition and a happy wallet.

The quality of the food is comparable to the quality of food you would get deliver from a reputable China Restaurant in Athens though eFood or Wolt. So not traditional heavy Chinese but mostly you know the industrialised version but overall everything served hot and as it should be and of acceptable quality quantity... More than your expectations for the price you pay.

And this is sums up our review. The value proposition is tremendous. Families and large groups could eat here 3 times a week easily there is great variety and significant amount of money to be saved...

This is the worst Chinese restaurant I’ve ever visited. I limit my review to the vege dishes I ordered. The vege soup with noodles was instant noodles with some slices of vegetables added. The mushrooms and baby corn were preserved. I also ordered stir fried vege and white rice. The white rice tasted bad, not only was it not jasmine rice, it actually had a smelly taste. The stir fried vege were, again, preserved sour mushrooms, preserved baby corn and bamboo, with fresh broccoli, carrot and cabbage. Aside from the food, the venue is Actually very clean and nice and the outside area is very nice to relax in on a sunny day. The bathroom was also very clean. Best chinese restaurant in town I went there around 2pm best time to eat with this summer breeze you can taste the food have good quality and perfect prices i also love the fact seeing the chefs receiving produce and double checking them and that puts my mind at ease it shows how much they care about quality control and how hard they work! The staff was very polite and kind didnt expect how fast the service was to be honest its amazing overall its all worth it!! There is also buffet days every Thursday and sunday which they serve sushi and ice cream with only 13 euros thats a steal! Because restaurants in crete are over priced but with 13 euros you can eatch as much as you want! Definitely will visit...
