Odos Lasithiou — Restaurant in Municipality of Heraklion

A hidden gem. In the backstreets of Heraklion, inside the city walls I had the best lunch in a long time. Goat braised in tomato sauce with borlotti beans. I drooled just by it's looks, the taste was as good as expected from this ingredients combo. There were 1 or 2 tiny bone splinters here and there, but they were honestly negligible. The owner offered me a glass of white wine too as I was a newcomer.:D plus bread to dip, fruits and raki for treat.

We had the most beautiful lunch here! The family that run this restaurant (Mother, son and his wife) were incredibly hospitable. Absolutely amazing food, the best I've had on the whole of Crete! 😍 All the staff are very friendly and the chef is noná herself!
