Our visit to Dionysos restaurant was an absolute delight from start to finish, and I cannot recommend it highly enough. It stands out as a true gem, offering a fantastic combination of delicious food, excellent value, and genuinely warm service. The food was, without a doubt, the star of the show. Every dish we ordered was incredibly flavorful and expertly prepared. You could tell that a lot of care goes into the cooking, and the quality of the ingredients shone through. Beyond the taste, the value for money was exceptional. The prices were very reasonable for the quality and portion sizes we received, making it a great choice for anyone looking for a high-quality meal that won't break the bank. What truly elevated our experience, however, was the service. The staff were not only professional but also incredibly friendly and attentive. They were genuinely sympathetic and engaging, making us feel welcome and well-cared for throughout our entire meal. Their positive attitude and excellent recommendations made the dining experience all the more enjoyable. The perfect ending to our meal was the complimentary dessert they offered—a wonderful serving of revani cake with ice cream. This thoughtful gesture was not only delicious but also a testament to their generosity and commitment to customer satisfaction. It was a lovely, sweet finish that left a lasting positive impression. This is definitely a place I would recommend to anyone visiting the area. The combination of delicious and affordable food, along with the exceptionally kind and attentive staff, makes it a must-visit. It's rare to find a place that excels in all these areas, and this...
Read moreWe had high expectations for this restaurant as it looked the “most authentic “ in the strip.
Unfortunately, the food was bland. The tzatziki was missing salt, garlic, flavor. Same thing for the Greek salad. The just put oil and vinegar on it, not a seasoned dressing rich in herbs so again it was bland.
The service was almost non existent. We ordered starters and main dishes. It took a long time to get, and when we got they came out at the same time. I thought this must have been an oversight on their part, but then noticed they did the same thing in the tables surrounding us. So not idea how to serve.
We asked for the WiFi password the guy told us while he walked away. So, now I had to get up and find a person to enter it on my phone for me.
We piled the plates on top of each other to see if they would get a hint and only when I waved him down he came.
He then asked do you want something, I was like yes can you take the plates away and my husband said do you have dessert? The waiter (there was a series of 3 different people tending to us) said yes I will bring a menu. Never showed up with it.
I then had to get up to go find someone to ask them for the check and paid in the...
Read moreOur worst experience in terms of food here in Kos island. Waiters are slow, unfriendly and arrogant.
We were shocked, that the waiter went trough the whole restaurant to the street to show potential guest our food and brought it to us afterwards. Under normal circumstances this case is really hard to accept, but in times of COVID-19 an absolute NO GO! Waiters preferred to drink wine and to smoke basically the whole time instead of serving the guests.
Quality: below average, fish was fresh but extremely overcooked and already really dry. Shrimps, Calamari and Fried feta all tasted like rubber.
Garlic bread and tzatziki was good.
Proxies: below Kos average, but food/quality is still not worth the money.
