Galation — Hotel in Municipality of Mykonos

Pros: Amazing staffs! They were able to guide us the activities at Mykonos, provide discounts and not to mention the staff cleaned our room every day, which is something you don’t get after Covid Great location - the bus that goes to the ferry is right outside of the hotel. Very convenient takes about 30 mins to get the ferry station. Clean room - rooms were clean, and they even provided us with slippers

Cons: Environment outside - the room we got was on the first floor, behind the resturant. Which means all the staffs are going in and out of the area. We were uncomfortable with opening our blinds as everyone could’ve seen us. I think higher floors would be better. small space - the room is quite small, however if you are doing activities all day and just sleep at night there should be no problem!

Note: please do not throw toilet paper down into the toilet. This is very common in Greece! Some hotels allows you to throw it in due to improved plumbing system but this one does not.

My room had a damp feeling to it and a mildew smell. They opened the window while I was out shopping for the day saying that would help and it didn't. When I got back it was cold in the room so I attempted to turn the heat on and the heat didn't work even the staff in the lobby couldn't get it to work. After 3 nights in a damp room with no heat I have a cold! On the next day after my outing I couldn't locate the TV remote in the room. I later found the remote under the sheets. The housekeeper made the bed with the remote in it so that mean she didn't change the linen. Internet service lost connection a lot. There is no elevator and atleast 15 steep stairs to climb to your room. The hotel is located right across from a bus station and taxi stand so lots of noice until everything calms down late at night way after midnight. Don't let the photos in the picture fool you. Only positive thing was walking distance to food and shopping. I DO NOT...

This was the best location ever. The wonderful lady who checked us in and took after us during our stay made sure we had the best time. We arrived to Mykonos very early and accidentally woke her up by calling the hotel and she arrived promptly to check in our bags and tell us everything we should do while in Mykonos. Then she found us a rental car to enjoy the island & when we returned for check in around 3pm our bags had already been brought to our room. The view was phenomenal, the room was beautifully made & the location was so central to everything it made life very easy. Our entire trip was pretty much planned in the first 30 minutes with this woman and we had non stop fun & didn’t have much downtime. As much as Mykonos may be a party island we had a much more fulsome trip because of her knowledge and help. Next time we are in Mykonos we will absolutely stay here again, and we would recommend to anyone who’s looking for a spot...
