I normally don’t say things are hidden gems because I feel it is overused, but this place truly is one. It’s just a couple minutes walk from the Fabrika station and it’s on a small hill. It was a little difficult to find because the property surrounding it seems to be under construction (no noise, don’t worry) and the signs weren’t great, but if you go down the stairs on the left, you will eventually find it. When we arrived the first night, there was only one other party there. Only a few more tables filled in by sunset. They are sectioned by no minimum spend, €30 pp, €40 pp, €60 pp and so on. Our view was absolutely incredible. There was a DJ playing chill music, not party but not slow, it was honestly perfect for the sunset vibe. The decor is so pretty. The menu is huge. We weren’t very hungry either time we went but we did try the Trio of Mediterranean Spreads and the Fresh Quinoa Mosaic salad. Both dishes were actually vegan (salad optional) and there is a vegan moussaka as well, I wish I tried it! Both were delicious. The dip trio came with an insane amount of fresh chips and the sauces were amazing. The salad was very fresh and flavorful. It seems the dip trio is a popular choice, I noticed multiple people ordering it. The service was amazing, extremely friendly staff. The atmosphere was perfect for us, pretty chill, but we only stayed til about 9:30 pm both nights. It was great having no wait and multiple seating options. It was so great being away from the packed mediocre bars in the town and in our own little...
Read moreBeware they make you spend you full deposit. I wish I never found this place on line when doing my research. I took my lady there and they sat us next to a table with a view where a telephone pole blocked the sunset. Then a guy at the next table started smoking and we moved to another table further out as the smoke bothered my lady greatly. Then I got a pretty good Greek salad but my lady got a beef pasta meal that made her feel sick. So we were not really feeling it this night. Then when the bill came, we learned that we had to spend it all. We felt we should have been refunded the unspent portion but the manager would not relent as he made the point it was in the fine print (I am sure it was and therefore have not checked). So I bought an expensive bottle of wine I really did not need or want at that point. I went back to the hotel spending about 40 bucks less than the minimum.
My lady was down about it as we left and I wished I had never found this place on line. We wanted to leave the balance of the money to our waitress who was doing her best with the situation all night, but the waitress did not think that was possible.
Again beware. Not a...
Read moreOverrated. Booked two weeks in advance for birthday celebrations and was advised that the table we booked had amazing views. When we arrived we discovered our table was actually for us to sit up against a concrete wall with sad looking carpet like flat cushions (not comfortable at all) and no table. The amazing view that was confirmed over email was blocked by a massive lamp shade for a firepit. When asked if we could be moved, we were told it would be a €60 per person charge for drinks/food (which we didn't mind). Only to be then told no other tables were available even though several tables were vacant. There are definitely better bars than this one who have the exactly same amazing views. Don't waste...
