Madrigali — Restaurant in Municipality of Nafplio

We walked around looking at restaurants and chose this place for its small atmosphere and good looking photos outside. It’s also a mom and pop shop with photos/calendars of the family around the restaurant which was really nice to see compared to some of the other restaurants right downtown in the more touristy areas.

We had the Greek salad, tzatziki, the chicken pita, the vine leafs and water and in total it came out to 16.80 euros which for price was great. We went to pay expecting it to be more, and were surprised that it was cheaper than we expected.

They have an amazing view of the fortress ruins if you want to sit outside and eat or have a coffee. You can sit outside and watch people take the 999 steps up to the fortress while you enjoy your cup of coffee! They are also beside the bus stop making it a great location if you take the bus, or to help you remember where you are and not get lost down the...

We actually passed by this place in the afternoon after we had lunch at Propolis. Checked out their menu and prices seem reasonable, so we thought of visiting the place for dinner. We are happy to have discovered this place.

It's located beside Prego Cafe & Snack, along the same row where the KTEL bus ticket office is located. During the time we were there (between 7pm to 8pm), ours was the only table occupied.

We ordered a Fish Soup, Cabbage Rolls, and Pork Souvlaki with Pita. The soup was so comforting to drink in the cold, the cabbage rolls and souvlaki were very tasty too. The pork in the souvlaki was so juicy. Total bill was 16 Euros.

We still have one more day in Nafplio, will likely visit Madrigali again for another meal.

I had the freshest tastiest fish in my whole life. You can see from the photos of the fish bones how fresh they are. Very welcoming and friendly owners. Although it’s a touristic place and people usually tend to be very business oriented, we felt the warmness and the family vibe. I wish to come back soon again! We tried the fish soup, sardines, Anchovies, and vegetables pita. All were delicious and very reasonably priced, enjoyed in an amazing view!
