Wow... just wow... One of the most memorable dining experiences, given the size and off-center location of the place. First of all, the environment was super nice, we sat in the back atrium with natural lighting and great decor. The service was immaculate. Young, friendly people, each of them with their own character and "trendy" looks but extremely professional and effective. Everything was fast-paced without being hectic. The food was out of this world. We had a variety of dishes (my company eats a lot). Mushrooms, veal meatballs, "skioufikta" (pasta with pork fillet bites), cheese and artichoke brochettes, home made gyros. Everything was DELICIOUS! We arrived quite hungry and as soon as we saw the food we dove right in, without even thinking of taking photos. The portions were reasonable sized, so this allowed us to devour all the plates. I will remember even the small complementary dessert in the end, which was fresh and tasty. We also verified the use of local, high quality products, which makes sense given the quality of the food. I would deem the prices reasonable as well. Neither cheap, nor pricey. Maybe for some it might seem on the pricey side, but for the quality I think is beyond reasonable. 5 stars well deserved. Read moreSkip the touristy fare by the port and walk a few blocks out of the way to this gem. The Smoked Eggplant dip with grilled feta is stellar—a must order mezze— and the leek with celeriac and béchamel-esque sauce is one of the best vegan mains (served as an appetizer here) I’ve had in Greece. Fresh fried squid (€9) and the pasta with shrimp bisque (€15) are also highly recommended—best homemade pasta we’ve had in Greece (we live in Athens). Be sure to try the house white wine too (€5/half carafe)🍷
🐙I’d skip the octopus with fava special—cooked a bit too firm for my taste and the feta mouse dollops on the side was practically whipped mayonnaise, which isn’t for me. That said, the plating on this dish is GORGEOUS!
🍰And the complimentary dessert is a cookies and cream mousse—filling and unique, this is a worthy ending to a delicious modern take on greek classics.
🍽 Lastly, the three dining areas have distinctly different vibes. The back area is family, children, and dog friendly. Large groups welcome (table of 10 sitting next to us) and the tables are VERY far apart, so you’ve got room to breathe in the open air patio (non smoking).
🗣🌎Menu is in Greek and English. Specials are only in Greek but Google translate’s camera...
Read moreJust walk past the Lonely Planet recommendation next door and experience a flavoursome Greek meal with a twist at this place. I agree with the last review. The food here is just a little different to the usual tourist fare and you’ll be eating alongside locals. The zucchini balls were light and refreshing; and the “spring rolls” stuffed with feta paired nicely with the molasses sauce. The deconstructed “pasticcio” had a flavoursome rich ragù which had clearly been cooked for a few hours. And the shrimp! Juicy, sweet and beautifully grilled - would be happy to have a dozen! Do yourself a favour and try...
