Souvlomagies — Restaurant in Municipality of Nafplio

We ate an early dinner here in May 2025. The menu states "kontosouvla" but we were brought souvlaki. The meat was all overcooked and dry. They brought us pork steaks, which we did not order, but they also did not charge us for them. The entire meal was disappointing. The tzatziki was tasteless. When I pointed out to the server that we did not receive kontosouvla, he insisted that the souvlaki was kontosouvla. Their kontosouvla looked like it had not been used since last year, no ash in inside. Just be honest about what you are serving and if it is souvlaki, just say so. Not all tourists are ignorant.

The service was pretty dismal. It wasn't too long to order, but it also took a while for our "prepared when you order it" food to arrive. Mostly, the uninterested teen boys working there had zero interest in interacting with guests. There was one guy doing all of the work. For instance, the teenager brought our wine, but no glasses. No water was served. We were allowed one small paper napkin apiece and once our food arrived we became invisible and it was impossible to ask for more. Which was interesting as one teen boy was sweeping up garbage from the floor right beside our table, repeatedly knocking my partner's chair with the broom, but ignored our attempts to get his attention. Honestly, having a big pile of squished food on the floor beside our table while we ate was not appetizing.

It seems like staff could use some training. I am more forgiving about the good, as people have different preferences. The restaurant is along a park, which is nice, except when people have their dogs pooping in front of you while you eat, which the restaurant has no...

The food was nice, especially the soft and tender meat. However, the customer service was quite disappointing. The staff didn’t seem willing to help — they were focused only on taking orders and showed little interest afterward.

After we paid, I politely mentioned to the waiter that it would have been better if we had been informed in advance about the extra charge for additional oil and vinegar for the two Greek salads we had ordered. Instead of a helpful response, we were met with a surprisingly ironic comment, telling us to “check the menu.” And after that even said, “You ate well, so why are you complaining about €1.50?”

Overall, we didn’t appreciate the attitude it felt dismissive and unprofessional. It also seemed like we were treated differently because we were foreigners, which made the experience...

Είχα πάει σε μέρα που ήταν αργία, οπότε είχα κάνει κράτηση πριν ξεκινήσω από Αθήνα, υπέροχο φαγητό, το φρυγαδελι σε Καλαμάκι ,και η εκδοχή της χωριάτικης σαλάτας σερβιρισμενη μέσα σε καρβέλι ψωμιού στρογγυλό ήταν πολύ γευστική, οι τυροκροκέτες εξαιρετικές, οι πατάτες αληθινές στην γεύση, νόστιμες κάτι που σε μαγαζί στην Αθήνα σπάνια θα βρεις να μην είναι προκάτ οι πατάτες, μπράβο στον υπεύθυνο γιατί αυτό δείχνει την επιμέλεια και την προσοχή στην λεπτομέρεια, σε ένα ορεκτικό που είναι αυτό που αφήνει και την πρώτη εντύπωση. Τα πανσετακια επίσης γευστικά, ζεστά, η μπριζόλα ζουμερη, όλα ήρθαν γρήγορα παρόλο που το μαγαζί ήταν ασφυκτικά γεμάτο από κόσμο, σημειωτέον κάθισα σε εξωτερικό τραπέζι. Το σέρβις άψογο, όλα ήρθαν σύντομα αναλογικά πάντα με το γεγονός ότι ήταν γεμάτο τίγκα όλο το μαγαζί και στον εσωτερικό χώρο των τραπεζιών, και στον εξωτερικό. Έχω πάει και στο παρελθόν, και πραγματικά είναι από τα ελάχιστα μαγαζιά που κρατάει ψηλά την ποιότητα του.Οι τιμές λογικές, ανθρώπινες, προσιτές μπράβο και για αυτό, που μην ξεχνάμε ότι όλα τα υλικά οι πρώτες ύλες ακριβαινουν,και το έχω δεί και σε άλλα μαγαζιά, εδώ παραμένουν λογικές, οπότε και αυτό είναι ένας μικρός άθλος από μόνο του σαν γεγονός το ότι δεν έχει γίνει μετακυλιση των ακριβών τιμών των πρώτων υλών στον τιμοκατάλογο άρα και στον πελάτη.Συγχαρητήρια.
