We ( a family of 4) were seated in the outside area, by a very friendly waiter, who showed us the daily dishes and even showed us the freshly catched fish. My Mom ordered this fish(Barracuda), which came with a lemon mustard sauce, and was astonished by the flavour. The 2 Tomato Salads we ordered were amazing and the bread was fresh from the oven and came with some olives, olive oil and a spread prepared with feta cheese. The rest of us ordered the sea food spaghetti, which came with a tasteful wine sauce and a big variety of mussels and Scampi. I myself ordered fried squid with fries, which are homemade by the way. The aubergines my father ordered were perfect and could optionally be ordered with feta cheese. The service was excellent as the waiter showed intrinsic motivation to work and took care of all our wishes. At the end we were given some fresh and local peaches on the house. The prices are surprisingly good for such a tourist city and we paid less than 100€ for our meals. In conclusion, this restaurant is one of the best I ever ate at and I would recommend it...
Read moreIndustrial approach, “cold” service, average food. Overnight in Nafplio is difficult to find 5 or 4 stars restaurant. The main goal of most restaurants is to convince you to seat. It’s almost expected as in the most touristic, crowded place. Nafplio is gorgeous, beautiful town with such a historical background it deserves more 5* places. Regarding the food: mussels in white wine sauce are good, standard Greek salad and tzatziki, unacceptable, overcooked seafood spaghetti with 3 shrimps and mussels, eggplant from the oven overseasoned, house white wine does not deserve to be served. This was our cheapest dinner on Peloponnesus, I don’t ever complain about the prices but 4.5 euro for the sparkling water in the plastic bottle, c’mon it’ just not make any sense. After all we were charged for the additional 2 euro for the still water which was not ordered. They accept it was a mistake and asked if we want 2 eur to be back 🤪. It’s not about money it’s...
Read moreI visited The Nest with a group, after a long tour and we all had a very nice experience. The staff and the owner were very friendly and welcoming. They were eager to accommodate all our requests. Everything was clean, quick, and organised. We all wanted fish so we enjoyed very fresh sea bream, red porgy, red mullet, and fish soup. The grilling was professional and one of the guests asked for a big fish to be cut and fried and it really was delicious. Salads were amazing too, in addition to the fresh bread with olive oil and oregano. We were served fresh and tantalising Greek traditional revani at the end on the house and it was mouthwatering. The kitchen is really special in general. We had 3 tables, but we were served quickly, with love, and everyone was trying to lend a hand. We were tired, hungry, and not having much time .. However, we were definitely treated at The Nest. Thanks a lot for everything, wish you the best this season and every...
