I was on holidays in Crete for a couple of days and had visited this restaurant twice. First time visiting, I had the mixed grill with a friend. The quality of the food was excellent, but it was a bit pricy, therefore some points taken away. The second time, I visited with a larger group of about twenty people. I had the pizza, the price was very reasonable and the taste was great, but my cocktail was not good, therefore some points taken away again. Furthermore, one of the the waiters started harassing us to write a 5-star review on Google Maps while we were eating, this really hurt the atmosphere. One member of our group wrote a four-star-review, because his food was not very tasty. The situation quickly escalated, the waiter refused to let us pay our bills so we could finally leave, until my friend had deleted his review. This really hurt the atmosphere, which was quite nice before this, because the staff really seemed to care about our business at first. My friend then gave in and deleted his review, but the waiter was mad and wouldn't bring us our bills anymore. Anyways, a different waiter had to come. Credit where credit is due, this new waiter was very friendly and professional, yet he seemed like an exception in the waiter-staff.
If possible, try to avoid this restaurant if you don't want to be harassed. If you go further away from the first row of restaurant right by the sea, the prices quickly become more...
Read moreHow this restaurant has received a near 5 star rating is beyond comprehension. When you go out to eat with your family, and pay decent money for it too you expect to get something more than what you'd expect from your own everyday meals at home.
This was more bland and boring than everyday food. The initial waiter that invited us in was kind, and full of promises of what would accompany the food.
The bolognese my daughter ordered was literally just a bowl of pasta with a blob of greyish minced meat on top, no sauce whatsoever. The chicken souvlakis had barely touched the grill, it wasn't raw, but it was tasteless and pale. Same with the chicken filets. Soggy French fries on the side, a really poor attempt on homemade mayonnaise with a lot of lemon juice and pepper in it... the pepper sauce was horrible and sour... the "salad" on the plates consisted of a leaf of lettuce, with half a slice of a bashed tomato, and a slice of lemon. I sincerely regret not taking pictures of it, because in writing all of this, it sounds like exaggeration, but I assure you that it was an utterly and absolutely horrendous experience.
You could see the waiters noticing that the food was not being eaten, but no one wanted to "be it", and go and ask what the issue was.
We paid full price, and we will never, ever return, or recommend this...
