Alex's Restaurant Lindos — Restaurant in Municipality of Rhodes

Awful service. Terrible food. Horrible staff.

We had to wait over an hour for food that was overcooked and had that had no flavouring whatsoever. The grilled calimari was like chewing rubber, and the steamed lamb was overcooked and painfully dry. These are quite minimalistic dishes, and should NOT have taken this long. You could get better vegetables in the supermarket, they were not fresh. Presentation of food was just as bad as the food. Upon paying, they couldn't even split the bill and blamed us for not asking for it upon arrival. We got into a little quarrel with the staff were they blamed us for not asking for splitting the bill, and wouldn't acknowledge any of their wrongdoings. It's a shame because the location is beautiful, but I wouldn't recommend anyone to go there. Please do yourself a favour and stay away.

UPDATE: Thank you for your response, but I think you are being delusional. First of all, YOU were the one who started acting aggressively and started screaming. None of us mentioned anything about being a professional fighter, YOU assumed this because of our friend's ears (due to wrestling). But, you are a "busy" restaurant I don't expect you to remember anything - despite us coming before the busy hours.

Secondly, you did NOT apologize for anything. For the food being more than an hour late. We did NOT finish eating everything. Even if the lamb was roasted, it does not take away the fact that it was dry and bland. If anything, it makes it worse.

Lastly, none of us said that we enjoyed anything, quite frankly your staff did not even ask us. Which is quite rude, and something which was a new experience here in Greece.

Wishing you all the best, and hopefully you will acknowledge your mistakes and improve standards with time. I think it is sad when complacency and arrogance ruin a family business and negatively impact holidays for tourists, during these unprecedented...

During our trip to Lindos in early July, we dined at Alex's Restaurant, unfortunately, it was a letdown. Immediately upon arrival, the long wait time for a table was frustrating. The lack of organization and communication amplified the confusion and negatively impacted our experience.

Once seated, our interaction with the staff, specifically a tall waiter with black hair, left much to be desired. Despite the bustling atmosphere, we believe that courtesy and professionalism should never be compromised.

The disappointment continued when we were informed late that a dish we ordered was no longer available. The dismissive refusal to accommodate a change to our order was unacceptable and contrary to our expected hospitality standards.

Moreover, we found the pricing at Alex's Restaurant to be on the higher end, especially when compared to other dining options in the area. This and the subpar service made the overall experience even more unsatisfactory.

We regrettably cannot recommend Alex's Restaurant if you're seeking a romantic, comfortable, and affordable dining experience. While it offers a scenic rooftop view, similar to other establishments in Lindos, the level of service, customer care, and value for money were not up to par.

In conclusion, our experience suggests there are many other places in Lindos that will offer not just delightful meals and views, but also a welcoming atmosphere and good value for your money. Consider exploring these options for a more enjoyable...

I'd like to start with the view from this restaurant is amazing however me and my partner are really disappointed.

We booked two days ago for tonight and when we arrived we were both really happy with our table.

Our starters were good, we had the pitta with dips and Courgette croquettes to share.

I ordered the seafood souvlaki as I wanted to try something different and my partner ordered the grilled fillet of fresh tuna.

I asked the waiter what souvlaki was and he explained it was skewers.

It arrived and my order was wrong, he brought the fillet of seabass and apologised for getting the order wrong but said it would be difficult and I would have to wait for what I ordered and that we wouldn't have enough time. Therefore, I felt pressured into just saying nevermind.

He should have suggested to take both plates back and bring us fresh CORRECT dishes.

We were really unhappy and nothing was done to right this. He was going to bring us desserts on the house which was thoughtful but we just wanted the right food.

The seabass was underwhelming and to be honest I would never order this as I find it quite bland. We paid in full but are not happy with the way this was handled.

Really disappointed as this was recommended by one of the locals from another bar/restaurant.

Also, when (who we thought was the manager) asked how our meal was my partner shook his head no but then the waiter and him spoke in Greek and nothing...
