First time at Koutouki42 was in may 2022.. I revisited the place now in september 2022., may and september 2023. The same great place, food, service and friendly staff and I think that I have found My New place for lunch /or dinner for the future trips to come and new dear greek friends in "Koutouki42" , meaning in greek : the Old Taverna. Read moreWe started out okay with appies, they were okay in taste. But half were missing. After sitting here for 2 and a half hours we finally got our mains, after watching it sit on the counter as the staff took multiple photos of it. Part of our group never even got their food. We asked about the missing appies too and we're told they couldn't make them, after not communicating that 2.5 hours prior. Some of our group only ordered appies and therefor did not get fed. The ones that did get their food, food it was awful. Everything arrived cold, (because the photo shoot) tasteless and like it was from the freezer. Then when it came time to pay, tap wasn't working and the staff wouldn't allow for us to use insert with pin and told us to go use the atm outside the restaurant, that wasn't attached to a bank. Even though, everyone else in the tables surrounding us were allowed to insert their card on a different machine... Super sketchy and ended up paying cash in fear that the card would be copied and we were being scammed. We went here thinking the reviews were great, upon looking into the reviews they look fake. 9 out of 10 reviews mention "rhodes" or "rhodes island" when other restaurants don't? Seems scammy to me. The view is nice but everything else sucked. Worst restaurant and experience on our entire 3 week trip through multiple cities around Europe. Just...

We made a reservation for Friday evening to eat fish and listen to live Greek music. (Because the woman standing in front of the restaurant said there is fresh fish and live music.)
After we arrived for the sunset the woman took our order for the drinks with a very impolite manner. After bringing wine she told us no fish/sea food today because there is live music this evening. We told her that she told us yesterday that there is fish for the evening but she didn’t even listen. We were than forced to order meat. My wife’s chicken came after 10mins, she started finished while i was waiting for my lamb chops for another 30 mins. We couldn’t eat together. Lamb chops were only 3 pcs and there was barely meat on them, it was only fat and bones! = 20€ for nothing.
Then time came for live music. Musicians were there, tried to play something but then we heard that there is a Wi-Fi problem, no live music tonight. I can not understand what Wi-Fi has anything to do with live music or instruments.
Only good thing was the waitress who was apologizing for all the mistakes and offered us one carafe of white wines free of charge.
We have been to many restaurants in Rhodes during our 1 week holiday and this one was by...
