This hotel would be great if it would be located at a much quieter area. It has a modern interior decoration and superb service but it is definitely not for people who are looking for a place for a relaxing holiday. In spite of our booking of a room facing the city we got a room facing the sea and the very close party street on the 2nd floor so we hardly slept on our first night. There were also a group of youngsters in the neighbor rooms listening to music very loudly, shouting and slapping the doors. We asked for another room right after our arrival but we could change only after 2 nights because the hotel was on full capacity. We also needed to ask it regularly as the person being responsible for room assignments was never available. We got then a room on the 4th floor facing the city which still was quite noisy but much better than the first one, no youngsters and no direct view to the party places. If you are a young person with an interest in late night parties this is a good place for you, I would have been happy to stay here 10 years ago. If you are done with partying in your life avoid this place and book an accommodation far, far away at a calm location. Whichever is you if you have picked this hotel don't forget to pack earplugs for sleeping! Pros: - You get a complimentary 15min massage ticket at your arrival - The design of reception, bar and breakfast area is very modern - Reception staff is kind, helpful and speaks English well, we could print our boarding passes there for example - Strong AC and hairdryer in the room - Breakfast buffet is great providing a wide variety of food including fresh fruits, vegetables, traditional Greek sweets and coffee and many more, waiters are kind and helpful - Pool area is nice but limited - The hotel has a good looking bar however very few people seems to sit in - There is an ATM at the entrance however fees are quite overpriced and it uses a very high exchange rate - Late checkout is possible if hotel capacity allows it with a checkout time of 6pm, it costed 30€ for us - Located near to city center, countless restaurants and bars Cons: - Located very next to the party street named Orfanidou thus there is constant loud music and noise between 11pm and 4am - Very popular among young people (around the age of 18-20) who visits in groups and are very noisy making an atmosphere of a hostel instead of a 4* hotel - Paper thin walls, you can hear neighbors as they were in your room - Cleaning staff came way too early in the morning several times (around 8-9am), they opened the door on to us quite rudely - Near beaches are pebble Overall it wasn't a really good nor a really bad experience, we could manage using earplugs during nights. I wish I did a better investigation before our trip, lessons learned.

Went here with a friend mid August for 1 week, we are 2 Brits both in our mid 30s. Firstly the hotel is in a great location, about a 15/20 minute walk to old town along the beach, quicker if you go round the back of the hotel, which is where there a large strip of great restaurants and bars (reviewed separately) only a 10 min walk. The hotel also faces West so you get some great sunsets, and are literally a 20 second walk to the beach itself, there is also a lot of travel agents around the hotel if you want to book excursions. With regards to the hotel itself, initially we were a bit worried about the noise related reviews, as we weren't planning on clubbing but doing stuff during the day, we requested a room on the 5th floor to avoid the noise of the strip (not knowing there was also a 6th floor) and although it was still audible with the balcony doors closed, it was muffled enough not to bother our sleep (I also use earplugs anyway), what did bother our sleep on a couple of occasions were the thin walls, where some bangs woke us up. The rooms were kept very clean by the chamber maids, the bathroom was adequate and we were at the front of the hotel so had a really good view of the sunsets. The Aircon worked well. The staff were friendly enough and the breakfast was great with a large selection of food and drink to choose from, both continental and cooked English, they also had an egg station for fried eggs and omelettes, only qualm here would be the wait for toasting bread, which was a bit too long, so could use a better toaster. WiFi reception was good throughout the hotel. The pool area was also quite nice, the pool itself was a bit small for length swimming, around 10-15 meters I reckon, but still managed a few lengths, its nice for a dip after a long day, they keep it quite cool as well, not really any issues with people playing loud music there, although I think we may have missed the main part of the 'young 20s' season. The lifts are a little small but quite quirky, so not really a bother. They have a nice bar where the friendly bar maid taught us some basic Greek whilst we had some beers waiting to check in, this was part of the main reception area which was very spacious and had comfortable seating. Overall a decent stay I would say, but get a room on a high floor if you're a light sleeper.

We made two separate reservations for two rooms through two different platforms six months before our planned stay. Just two hours before check-in, while we were landing, we received a message from the hotel stating that due to unforeseen circumstances they would not be able to host us. No alternative was offered, and no apology was included. Despite this, we went to the hotel anyway, only to be told, “We did some magic and found rooms for you.” Again—no explanation, no apology. This caused unnecessary stress at the very start of our trip. Judging by other reviews, this is not an isolated incident. The hotel is located next to a massive construction site, which—according to the staff—will be active until the end of 2026. The noise and dust during the day are unbearable. At night, the issue is different: loud music and shouting from a nearby open-air strip club continue until the early morning hours. The windows offer no sound isolation, so getting proper rest was nearly impossible. Breakfast was standard for a hotel of this category, with no particular highlights or variety. On the positive side, the staff were friendly and the hygiene was excellent throughout the hotel. The pool, unfortunately, is located right next to the construction site, which makes relaxing by the pool essentially impossible due to the constant noise and dust. Overall, while the cleanliness and the staff were commendable, the poor location, extreme noise, and mismanagement of our reservation significantly impacted our stay. We would not return.

My wife and I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Mercure Rhodes Alexia Hotel & Spa, and it was an experience beyond compare. This was actually my second visit to this wonderful hotel—I stayed here alone in 2023 and was so impressed that I knew I had to return, this time with my wife, in 2024. Both times, the experience was nothing short of amazing.

From the moment we stepped into the elegant lobby, we were greeted with warmth and professionalism by the reception staff, setting the tone for a truly remarkable stay. The staff at this hotel are exceptional. The reception team went above and beyond to ensure all our needs were met promptly and with a smile. Their genuine hospitality made us feel right at home. The director, Mrs. Alexandra, is clearly dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of service and comfort for all guests. Her personal touch and attention to detail did not go unnoticed.

The breakfast at Mercure Rhodes Alexia Hotel & Spa is simply divine. A sumptuous spread of fresh, delicious options catered to all tastes, from local delicacies to international favorites. The dining area is beautifully set, and the staff ensured that everything was replenished and presented immaculately.

Our room was a sanctuary of cleanliness and comfort. The housekeeping team deserves special mention for maintaining impeccable standards. The room was spotless, and the attention to detail in the daily service was impressive. The view from our room was breathtaking, providing a serene backdrop that made our stay even more enjoyable.

The hotel's facilities, including the spa, were top-notch. The spa treatments were rejuvenating, and the serene environment provided the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life.

Overall, the Mercure Rhodes Alexia Hotel & Spa offers an unparalleled experience of luxury and hospitality. Every aspect of our stay was outstanding, just as it was during my first visit. We cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. If you’re looking for a perfect blend of comfort, elegance, and exceptional service, this is the place to stay in Rhodes. We look forward to...
