We went to Peskeski based on the high Google reviews and whilst we enjoyed the food, found the service let down the whole experience. We were seated, read the menu, and another couple sat down 5 minutes after us but had their drinks order taken, drinks delivered and food order taken before we were even asked about what drinks we would like. My partner gave it a few more minutes and then said if this is the service we were to expect then we should leave. On leaving I meet the the owner an he asked what was the problem, I explained and he apologised, said he had gone to the toilet and it was his fault and to please stay and I invite you to some wine with your meal for free. My partner agreed to give them another chance and came back in and we did enjoy the food, however after ordering starters and mains were not offered a desert - this has to be the first restaurant I have ever been into and not offered desert - and we eat out very often. We then asked for the bill, only to find the wine we had been offered for free - on our bill, as the last item added. Maybe they added it hoping we would forget after drinking it, and when we queried it with the waiter he seemed confused with what we were saying, and then the owner came over with an amended bill with wine crossed off, and a very dry attitude. Needless to say we won't be visiting again - and for the service, cannot recommend... Thanks for your reply, but I do not agree with your response - you did offer the wine to us - twice, once to me and again in front of my partner, - you asked me if we wanted the 1/2 litre or one litre house wine, I even said to my partner when I asked if she want to come back inside, that you were offering us wine on the house - in front of you, and you confirmed this. Also, every Greek restaurant we have been in has offered us desert, but that evening it seemed at 9pm because you only had two tables inside and it was raining - the staff were waiting to go home, as they were waiting by the door to see us out whilst we were finishing our drinks, I have attached a photo from another restaurant 2 nights later that came with a desert offering (I asked to take a photo as I saw your response and was amused by your comments!) I asked them if desert was popular with Greeks, and he said Greeks ask to order desert before they order their main meals to ensure they do not run out of the choice they want later.

Peskesi, Peskesi! What a lovely family restaurant filled with joy and smiles. This is one of the best spots on the entire island of Rhodes—a must-visit for anyone looking to enjoy a perfect seafood dinner or lunch. We visited Peskesi at sunset, and with the restaurant facing west, you can see parts of Turkey and Simi Island as the sun slowly sets behind them. I recommend ordering your drink as soon as you sit down. Take a moment to soak in the view before diving into their exceptional menu. As with many Greek and Turkish restaurants, I suggest starting with a drink—Ouzo or wine—and pairing it with meze (cold and hot appetizers). Hummus and tzatziki with hot bread, enjoyed with your drink, will give you time to explore the rest of the menu. Don’t forget to order one or two hot mezes before your main course, even though the dinner plates are quite generous. You’ll appreciate the slow dining experience, spending 2-3 hours at this restaurant while listening to the sea and savoring the moment. We tried their seafood pastas, risottos, stuffed calamari (Calamari Dolmades), and a selection of their hot mezes. Every dish was perfectly cooked, and the flavors lingered delightfully. Their Calamari Dolmades are a bit different from other restaurants in town, with a unique selection of cheese and spices—definitely a must-order dish on their menu. I wish you a pleasant evening with your family and friends. Bon appétit!

Came here for the beautiful sunset. The sunset was amazing and a great view. If you want the front view seats you need to make a reservation. As for the food prices they are overpriced. We paid €9.50 for mixed dip and they don’t even come with pita you have to purchase pita on the side individually. How would you eat the dip without bread? We had to spend €1.80 x 3 times so €5.40 for 3 pitas just to use the almost €10 euro dips. I got a cocktail that tasted like it had no alcohol in it and my partner ordered water. All the restaurants don’t charge for water this place charged €2.90. Main course was decent - we paid €22.00 for fish pasta (okay price) and €16.50 for calamari (overpriced). Overall you would come here generally JUST for the sunset view. You pay a lot for the food to see the view. I will say it was very nice that they gave everyone free coffee ouzo shots at the end (which were free) but it honestly tasted like licorice and should have been free for all the money we spent.

The only star for this restaurant is for their location, it is incredible one and have a great sunset view. That's why we chose them and also based on tripadvisor' reviews - they are #2 among Greek, mediterranean, authentic restaurants in the center of Rodos town. We visited #1 and were so impressed, so it was really hard to express it in words how great it was. So we expected an almost similar effect from number 2.

It is very hard to write this to me, because we have been staying for 5 days in Rodos and every day go to two new places, everywhere people are so friendly and professional, it doesn't matter whether it is a $, $$ or $$$ restaurant. We want to come back to almost every place, we love them, we love people who work there.

I want to believe that it is the issue of the team and manager (hostess) who worked on that day - 10th of July, 2021.

we came at almost 8pm and wanted to sit in first lane of tables; we should book it in advance, but 3 or 4 tables were available and we asked for it, since we didn't want to stay for a long time (we, two of us and two kids were exhausted and hungry after long trip), and I know, hostess can manage it usually, if the table is booked but you can promise that remaining time should be enough for you, then you can take it. Unfortunately the hostess (who was manager) didn't manage it properly and we agreed for an available table inside - we were inspired by tripadvisor feedback and wanted to try it. Later we saw, it was feasible to provide an available table for us.

then we waited for 5 mins for the menu, we got 2 of them only, for 4 persons. It is fine for a cafe, but not for $$$ restaurant who is the top of the best ones.

The hostess took our order. We asked to repeat it, just to make sure that everything is included, usually it is about 10 different positions and it is possible to miss something. He didn't repeat everything and just went away. we were discourage - does it mean he remembers everything or not? Later we found, he didn't remember everything.

next 15 mins happened nothing

people came after us, received their orders, but not us. We asked to bring everything when it was ready. Children were hungry and we didn't want to wait.

we asked the waitress to bring at least bread with garlic and cheese we ordered.

5 mins later we got bread that looked absolutely different from how it was in menu' photo. We know how it is served in other restaurants, but here it was awful (I have a photo and can provide it).

chicken wings were raw (also can provide the photo), we asked the waiter about it, he said "sorry, I see it is raw", and nothing more, he took the plate with them and wasn't even able to replace the plate.

other food was awful as well (fried fish didn't look as whole fish, it was small pieces of fish, but not entire, whole fish; fried squid was rubber).

The last drop was when we figured out after almost 1 hour of waiting that our pasta won't be served at all (hostess, who took our order, just didn't write it properly).

Finally, the dinner was spoiled. We asked to see the manager or chef of the restaurant. Hostess replied that he is the manager and it was so sad to hear it. Also he refused to invite the chef (due to his busyness). I travelled a lot, I talked to many chefs, many times they come to greet you, to wish you a great vacation and enjoy your time, but not this time.

We strictly don't recommend this place right now, in July 2021. The great place must be great all the time. I hope the owner will read this review and will make some actions to improve it. Especially right now, when it is so important to support every business after...
