Paralia Elli — Attraction in Municipality of Rhodes

Windy beach with intense waves. Good for cooling down when you're in the city but there are far nicer places on the island for relaxing and exploring so this one is not a "highlight" per se. It's very fun to swim in the waves but the noise from rattling parasols in the wind can get on your nerves. 15€ for two beds is a bit steep compared to the other much nicer places. Also the area close to the aquarium / bottom of the shore is the best, the middle part along the shore with big hotels is very crowded, littered with trash and there are big noisy construction sites. So best to go to the top or bottom...

I wanted to share my recent visit to a lovely beach located just around the peninsula from Elli Beach. This charming spot features a pebble beach and offers sunbeds and umbrellas for visitors. One of the highlights of this beach is the waves, which can be quite large, making it an absolute blast to jump and play in the water. The beach boasts crystal-clear water and a magnificent view of the turquoise sea. Additionally, the city centre is right next door, providing access to good restaurants. 1 Oct 2023 12pm: status, it's still sunny 27 degrees & windy. Not crowded. Pebble beach, waves are currently quite strong so not child friendly but nice to chill and sunbathe. Near the local supermarkets and restaurants. Tip: as it gets later in the year you can get a free sun lounger later in afternoon(usually 15euros for 2, but the people walking around charging for usage left from 4:30 - 5pm 2 days we went there.
