Orexi Rustic Cuisine — Restaurant in Municipality of Rhodes

We stopped by this beachside Greek restaurant after walking past it a few times and noticing they offer quite a few vegan options. The location is beautiful, right by the sea, with a nice atmosphere. The staff was fine – not especially warm, but they did let us sit down while waiting for our takeaway order, which was appreciated.

Unfortunately, the vegan food itself was rather disappointing. The pita bread tasted like it came from a package, the “salad” felt uninspired, and the fries might be fine when eaten fresh, but they didn’t work well as takeaway. On the plus side, the portions were generous, but the prices seemed high – probably due to the beachfront location.

Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this place for vegan dishes. Perhaps their meat and fish plates are better, but for plant-based food I...

What can I say about orexi. To start we were welcomed in with open arms by Anna. When we were served by Helen nothing was too much any questions we had were answered and explained. The service is sublime and the food is made with care and love. The chef takes the time to make sure everything is perfect before it reaches you.

The staff make your stay pleasant and welcome and they don't rush you to finish.

The owner Tommy interacted and spoke with us and came over to check everything was okay.

We visited 3 times in total each time trying a new dish all of which were amazing from the fish to the gyro and their mixed grill platter (which is generously portioned) . Nothing was faulted.

Recommended 10/10 - give this restaurant a Toques d‘or, if it doesn‘t have one yet! Excellent and friendly service - on the house treats, nice music, direct view of the sea (road inbetween), not to mention the price-perfomance-ratio and the delicious food that comes in big portions!! Had been to other restaurants in the old town, where the food, service etc unfortuntely was a joke and is not comparable with Orexi, but payed more! (Wasted money) Been here already 3 times and we‘ll def be back for more! On top of it - excellent coffee!!! and a lot of vegan options!!! - also soy or almonddrink for coffee! In the evening it‘s stuffed - no wonder :‘) so maybe be there early, or make a reservation! Enjoy...
