Personally this is the best restaurant I’ve ever ate at . The food is great , with a wide range of burgers and meat based foods . The food also has a lot of color , taste and you can actually feel the taste of real beef , which I rarely do. At first , when you see the prices , you may thinks it’s overpriced , but when the food arrives , you will say it’s underpriced as the portions are large and beautifully made, some of the food can even be called art. I’ve ordered the Caliente burger, spicy but with the right amount of everything . The bread was soft and a little bit sweet , the tomato and the lettuce was perfectly placed in order to make the burger even more delicious . We also had to wait very little time for the food to arrive , like 10-15 minutes for a group of 13 people, I also have to mention that the restaurant was half empty because of the time. To make this experience even more amazing than it already was, the staff spoke perfect English , was funny , kind and not lazy at all! One of the little kids in our group didn’t like the food on the menu , but staff said we didn’t have to worry because the restaurant next door was also owned by them and they said that they can bring us anything from there (the restaurant it’s named Louise ) , and as it was pizza based , the little kid got a margherita pizza and it was enough to satisfy them and also remain some leftovers. The ambient of the restaurant was also great , the walls covered in a brick design and were full of pictures and posters. The bar was also beautiful and didn’t lack anything , with a wide range of drinks and sodas. Overall , this was an extraordinary experience and I personally invited them to come and open up a restaurant in Craiova, Romania (my hometown). If you ever find yourself hungry or didn’t know where to eat in Rhodes , I recommend Memphis BBQ Grill with all my heart . If I ever return to Rhodes , I’ll make sure to come tot his...
Read moreI had high hopes for this restaurant because of the reviews. We ordered the pork ribs and the 30 day ages t bone steak. The ribs were good, the steak however was ordered medium and was rare. The took it away and put it back on the grill. And wherever I cut it originally was cooked to medium but the rest of the steak was still rare. I didn’t have the energy to send it back again, especially because this is basic of cooking a steak. The temperature wasn’t right and the steak lacked a hard sear on the outside for it to be the best cook on it.
Another reason I didn’t send the steak back was because I ordered a pornstar martini with my meal and they brought me the martini without the shot of Prosecco. The martini also had cube of ice in it which isn’t correct as it dilutes the drink. The glass should have been chilled whilst it was being made. When asked is everything ok, I brought up that I didn’t get the Prosecco with my drink, the waiter told me they don’t serve a proper cocktail in a restaurant, this is restaurant style cocktail so it didn’t come with the Prosecco and there’s ice in the martini glass. He did end up bringing me the shot though and also gave us complimentary panna cotta desserts too (I think it was to make up for the drink being incomplete and the steak being rare) The ribs were definitely really good, it’s worth it for that, but considering the steak wasn’t cooked enough when the restaurant wasn’t even busy, I’d have to be honest and say that not good enough. I hope the service and all the steak orders are cooked better. Overall it was a decent meal, nothing tasted frozen and that the main...
Read moreThis is mainly based off of the dry aged t-bone steak I got. From my visit at Stavlos, a couple days ago, I found out that Greece can produce outstanding fall of the bone pork ribs. I thought I'd try my luck at steaks.
I ordered the dry aged t-bone medium rare. My main issue was that the meat was not tender as dry aged should be. Aside from the disappointing toughness, the steak itself lacked flavor. The waiter pushed a sauce with the steak and now I know why. Without the Jack Daniel's sauce, the steak would of been difficult to finish.
On the positive, the honey, philidelphia sweet potato puree was an interesting take on sweet potato pies and was delicious.
-1 star: The waiter charged my card in dollars instead of euro. A 3% markup was automatically charged on the bill for the currency exchange. Since I have a card that has free foreign transaction, this is...
