I visited this place during a busy time and, as expected, there was about a 10-minute wait for a table and another 10 minutes for the food — not bad given how popular it seems to be.
It was my first time trying a Greek-style pita gyros, although I’ve enjoyed similar dishes since the '90s. This particular version felt a bit dry and slightly bitter to my taste, both in the chicken and pork variants. I was also surprised to find fries as part of the dish — an interesting twist, though not quite to my personal preference.
The bread was a bit too thick for my liking; I think a thinner pita, paired with a more generous amount of garlic-infused sauce, would really elevate the experience. Fortunately, the sweet-and-sour tomato sauce provided on the side helps add moisture and flavor.
What truly stood out was the tzatziki — absolutely delicious, fresh, and perfectly balanced. Combined with the crisp green salad, it made the overall dish much more enjoyable and juicy.
One thing that clearly keeps customers coming back is the excellent price-to-quality ratio. It’s undoubtedly one of the most affordable restaurants in the area, and the staff works hard under very busy conditions to keep things moving smoothly.
It might not be the expected experience I’ve had, but there’s heart and effort in the food and service. With a few tweaks, it could...
Read moreOn arrival we did not get a menu. Other people that came right after us did get one. So That's a weird start.. Luckily we knew what we wanted because because they had flyers of their menu on the wall. We took a pita chicken gyros.
But it came with cocktail sauce? I don't know since when that is normal because i had many pita's before and never got it with that. At least ask the customer if you'd like that on your pita. And the chicken was dry and hard (very charred). looked and tasted like leftovers.
We had high expectations because of the google reviews, but it was very disappointing.
The only thing that was okay was the pricing. But pricing should not matter in this case according to all of the promising reviews!
EDIT: girlfriend has been puking multiple times after the food! This is...

We visited New Taste three times during our stay and were impressed every single time! On the first day, we had the gyros plate and pita gyros – both were super tasty, the meat was juicy, and the bread was warm and crispy. At the end, they even served us fresh fruit on the house – such a nice gesture.
A real highlight was the Giouvetsi, served traditionally in clay pots. The meat was incredibly tender and full of flavor – the best Giouvetsi we had on the island!
There are plenty of outdoor seats available, even in the evenings when it gets a bit busier. You can also order takeaway if you prefer.
The price-performance ratio is excellent – out of all the places we tried in the area, this was by far...
