Rodon Café — Restaurant in Municipality of Rhodes

If you value your health, do not visit this establishment! 🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮They gave me dirty utensils filled with dry cheese and breadcrumbs from whoever (or whatever) used that knife before me. 🤢🤢🤢🤢 Even worse, when you call them out on this in a review, they will dismiss you and call you a liar!! It goes to show how dishonest they are and how little they value hygiene and people’s health 🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨

Even though at first I wanted to spare them. Their response to my girlfriends review and their behaviour overall was so terrible, I decided to leave a negative review as well. In fact, it’s the only establishment during our trip in Rhodos that didnt get 5 ⭐️

Ambience 1/5 ⭐️ Every time we passed by this cafe it was empty like some ghost establishment. What attracted us was their Google Reviews rating. But I have no idea how such an empty and mediocre cafe received so many ratings, not to mention how strangely high the rating was. No doubt a lot of fake reviews. Other cafes around this busy area had plenty of customers. Yet they were mostly empty all the time

Service 0/5 ⭐️ The waitress and counter lady constantly walk around with annoyed expressions. Even their mannerism is like they dont want you to be there. When we arrived we went inside to check the food presented at their counter. But when we entered the shop, they immediately eyeballed us as if signaling: “Why are you in here?” Not a single smile was given. 🤨 There was a group of elderly tourists trying to order at the counter. Then later, the waitress came to their table to rudely tell them they had to order again because they can only place orders with her. Very strange and bad behaviour. As if the inside area is forbidden territory (yet they claim you can watch them make their authentic juice, yeah right) 🙄🙄🙄

Food 1/5 ⭐️ The juice they served was diluted with water. In their review response to my GF they will claim it’s because we let the ice melt for too long. Thanks for basically admitting you put too much water in your juice👍 Here’s an innovative idea to fix the diluted taste problem: Maybe instead of blaming us for letting the ice melt, perhaps you shouldn’t put so much ice (water) in the juice in the first place? 🤯🤦🤡

As for the avocado toast. Imagine paying €10 for an avocado toast, but they greedily only put a quarter of an avocado on it. Oh and the toast it self? Cheap wet supermarket bread that you can find in every mini supermarket in Rhodos. Filled with some sweet distasteful sauce. Overall, super overpriced and below mediocre food. 👎👎👎

The manager will no doubt respond with more defensive lies and insults like before. Here is some advice for you. Perhaps instead of replying with nonsense, you could use your valuable time to properly clean your disgusting utensils and learn how to professionally respond to criticism. Or who knows how many more customers you might upset 😉

And dont worry, we wouldn’t set foot again in your unhygienic cafe even if you served the last...

If you are looking for a really nice cafe near the water front on the Island of Rhodes. I highly recommend this Establishment. The Staff are always so welcoming, attentive and very friendly. I have now had coffee at this cafe on three occasions. Never disappoints. Very clean and has very clean restrooms. The cafe has a great selection of drinks, snacks and breakfast items. It should be noted I am from Washington DC and served with the United States Marines all over the World and traveled all over the United States of America. I definitely know a great cafe from all my travels and life experiences. This cafe is directly across the road from the casino. A must visit on the Island of Rhodes, Greece. I usually never write anything but this time if I could give more than 5 stars I’d definitely do. I’ve found out this bar in Rodos and the feeling of ‘care’ was what made me stay. I came every day for one week and it is absolutely a must when in town. I tried once and I just couldn’t do without it during my whole stay in Rodos. All the options are delicious, the menu is various, both sweet and savoury. But apart from food, which is undoubtedly of great quality and portions are rich, a great mention goes to the staff working there.
