⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ – An unforgettable evening at Dia Tauta! Dia Tauta is, without a doubt, one of the best dining experiences we’ve had in Thessaloniki! The moment we walked in, we were greeted by a warm and vibrant atmosphere, and the evening only got better from there. The live music added a magical touch – authentic, lively, but never too loud to enjoy a conversation. It felt like the perfect soundtrack to an evening of great food and great company. As a vegetarian, I was thrilled by the variety and creativity of the vegetarian dishes. The aubergine, zucchini, and mushrooms were out of this world – honestly, flavors I’ve never tasted anywhere else in the world. Fresh, perfectly seasoned, and cooked with so much care that each bite was a little revelation. Service was impeccable – friendly, attentive, and genuinely passionate about the food and the experience they offer. If you’re visiting Thessaloniki, don’t miss Dia Tauta. Sadly this taverna went down the hill

Quality wise we were happy with this taverna every year we visited them while on our trips back home in Thessaloniki but this year was a failure

Grilled mushrooms were bitter and simply thrown on the grill without any additional spices/flavours such as balsamic vinegar for example.

Tzatziki was good but too little...

Overall poor representation of the dishes and a general “eat fast” feeling

The quality has gone down quite a few steps from 8/10 to 2-3/10

Worse part was the blatant lie that the cc terminal (pos) was having difficulties connecting while their WiFi was in mint condition and we were force to pay cash !

After a couple of minutes we could hear the waiter informing the other staff members about how he avoided getting paid with credit / debit cards and that the excuse “works perfectly”

Too bad they lost a couple of customers but hey ... they saved 0.2-0.5 euros of transaction costs...

The first time we ate in the restaurant the food was decent so we decided to eat there a second time. Only this time, we were (un)welcomed with the most unprofessional service we've ever encountered. We waited forever for them to take our order (and it never happened). Meanwhile we tried to communicate our frustration to the manager or man at the door in the olive green jacket. He would lash out at us ordering us to wait a minute. We also asked if we could be seated inside cause way too many people were smoking outside. He again angrily said no its all full inside (which wasnt the case). And soon after, he let many new customers inside. Waiters will walk past us without taking our order.
